Ideas: -Ear muffs of some type. (May need one of those cone things around their head to pretend it from scratching it off.) -Vet may be able to give you some mild setatives to just help keep the dog calmer. -Wear the dog out. (Such as, put the dog on a leash, if need be, and run around for a while before the evening. Make sure it's good and tired.) -Quiet place. (Be it a basement, or, as others suggested, a closest.) -Distraction. (TV up a bit louder than normal, chew bone, etc. The TV will help discourage the dog from noticing the fireworks being as loud as they'd sound against a quiet setting, and the chew bone will give the dog something else to focus on.) -Hot, attractive, slutty dog of the other gender. (Or the same gender, depending on the dog.)
