An empty profile matched with an un-engaging email will definitely be ignored by me. Not enough there there. Too much work.

I'm fairly selective about who I respond to when I get messages. I don't usually bother with empty profiles and the rest of the time I try to respond to the people who've taken the time to mention something specific about my profile.

all i can say is... stop mssagin me!!!

i'm kidding i'm kidding lol

think its kinda nice when P/people fill out T/their profiles, means Y/you took the time, made an effort, which can generally be rewarded by O/one who is genuinely interested in finding S/somone, or S/someone just out for a root or perve, or email exchange.. whichever it be.
personally i find even when Y/you do fill out the profile no O/one reads it properly, or if T/they do T/they dont pay no mind to it..
i like to profile perve, and will generally skim over the ones with nothing in them.. they're kinda boring like.

ive wrote and rewrote my profile several times. Why? i have no idea. Im not actually on here looking for someone to take home( though i always keep a line in the water, you never know what you might catch even if the hooks not baited). I get a few emails a week,depending on how active i am, mainly in regards to my post. I did however recieve an email from a self proclaimed switch in which i believe either in the first email or second she asked for a pic. Asking me for a pic in the first couple of emails is a deal breaker. it shows your intelligence is only skin deep especially since we didnt get far enough to know if we was even remotely compatible.

I get a fair share( im guessing) of profile views a day, somewhere between 5 and 10 if i posted on the boards recently.

Nods to celeste 43 and spankme 312 - you are braver than me.

my policy has always been to discriminate against not enough info, and too much info. My assessment is that there's a happy medium that indicates some sanity, among other things. I agree with earthycouple that it seems to be a matter of "something for nothing" when someone puts nothing.

I also do not reply when it is obvious that my profile has not been read by the person writing.

If they don't have a full profile, meaning more than 2 lines worth reading, than no i won't respond or even look at their interests. And if they do contact me, it's an automatic delete. It's frustrating when some, not all, people don't take the time to at least say something about themselves.

While I can agree that too little info can be as bad as too much info and therefore, not justifying a response, it conjures up an old adage that:

if you keep on doing what you're doing, you'll keep on getting what you're getting. always looking. i for one, realize that sometimes you need to take a different approach and besides, if you do find the perfectly written profile, who's to say it's not some seasoned professional player? which is fine, if that's what you're after.

Yup, I had a wonderful relationship for a few months with a Dom that had a blank profile.

In person he was very articulate and intelligent, he just didn't feel like writing anything on his profile at the time.

If a person sends me a one liner email and has a blank or relatively blank profile I wil write back asking why they contacted me and what they feel we have in common. I generally do not get further replies from them....weird! I have sometimes found that people with blank profiles have preferred to share more info on a 1 to 1 basis and that is fine with me.

LOL, not brave. At the time I was still answering every damn email, probably in my first week. But I've come to realize since that I have very little click with the more articulate men who post simply because I never go for that type. He never posts, he's usually out rebuilding a car or such instead.

Of course, at the time my profile was pretty empty too, height weight state and basic likes were it. Because I didn't know enough yet to know if I would like something or other.

We got lucky, he wrote me a oneliner and I responded with a two liner. Inside of a week were several long emails daily.
