first let me appologise if this question has been answered before, I couldn't find anything on this subject in the other threads or even online though.

My boyfriend had to go away on work for a couple of months and the only way we have to play will be online, with a webcam. Yes, I'm still a bit inexperienced Domme but we seem to get along really well, but now I'm a bit worried as I have no idea how to conduct such a thing online. He's opened to try anything so that makes things much easier for me. But I've never done this and I'm totally clueless. Does anyone have any ideas or tips on what sort of things I can tell him to do since I'm not present?

I would welcome contact from other Mistresses in similar circumstances or that have done this before, to exchange ideas, learn and explore what possibilities are practical online.

I would also welcome contact from any subs to become more aware of their expectations and needs in this kind of situation.

Status: offline 		My Dom and I are long distance for most of the time and play via cam and with tasks that he sets for me.
I guess part of it depends on how willing your partner is to get their kit off on cam and inflict pain on themself (if of course pain is your thing), my Dom is fond pegs so that is something we use when playing via cam, and ice and various others toys and so forth but then I am a total exhibitionist and have no problem getting naked on cam.
And tasks can vary, things like you deciding on clothing, when the other person can and cant masturbate, all that kinda stuff that you would do together you can do long distance.
I also blog sometimes publicly and sometimes as private messages just for Master so he is aware of how I am feeling. I am sure others will have much more detailed advice, but thats the kind of thing we do

Status: offline 		If you're interested in chastity and/or bondage, TimeLock is a fun bit of software you can utilize.  You can send an encrypted code to your submissive via email that will dictate when the padlock on his chastity device or ropes or chains, etc. can be opened.  You can choose duration and if he peeks too early, he can be penalized or You can hide the timer and he'll never know how much time is remaining.  It's well suited for long distance.  I play with people on the East Coast and the UK  (I'm in CA)

Status: offline 		Use the time for some education for both of Y/you. Embark on a reading program (google BDSM plus words of interest such as subspace, subdrop, aftercare etc) and then set him some readings around a related theme. Have him email his responses and ideas ... great opportunity for you both to share thoughts and feelings. Sometimes it's easier in writing when you have time to reread and reconsider, than face to face. Both keep a journal (yes I know this is more usually a sub/slave thing but Dom/me journals can be great too!). Set tasks that he must do and provide photographic evidence that he has done them. I have vertigo so I once sent a sub up the tallest building in the southern hemisphere with a camera ... that way I got to enjoy the view too!
