ORIGINAL: inyouagain Add two slave opinions and you still do not have a scientific sampling. Ah yes, all too true. Lucky for me I enjoy collecting such data, sometimes with the assistance of my pig slapper. Twenty-six thousand or so such collections doesn't sound that bad to me right now.*wink* In my not so humble opinion, qualitative data gathering is way more telling then quantitative, even if not as scientific. But we are in social sciences here, not pure sciences so your methodology is quite valid. So go on and gather Taggart! And since you are gathering, I will tell you my own opinion of the difference between a sub and a slave... A submissive actively submits each time. A slave submits once and for good (or until they ask for release). I tend to hook up with submissives simply because to be completely honest, I cannot micromanage. And this isn't a criticism of people who do. Some people like micromanaging and some people need it. I’ve tried a slave once and I just about died of exhaustion. This doesn’t make me any less or more dominant. It just means I look for different things. Then of course, I agree with those who say ask a 100 people and you’ll get a hundred definitions. But we have words for a reason, because we build schemas for reference. And I believe when you try to build your own schemas, it’s great that you have the open-mindedness to go around and ask for others opinions. After all, isn’t this a message board developed specifically for this purpose?
