Are many Mistresses open to helping a slave/sub get to them? As a student who does not yet drive (working on it), a Mistress who would be willing to drive down and pick me up to take me somewhere I may serve her and be played with is almost a must. When I was going for men it was never an issue, they were always happy to, but somehow a part of me sees a Mistress as less likely to help a slave get to them, as they are so much more in demand.
Has my sometimes insecure mind, and all this talk of tribute wrongly put Mistresses in a category that says they will not go out of their way to see me?
Is this faulty?

I would love opinions and comments and thank you for your time

In life, there are times when we need to focus on things other than relationshps - career, school, children, what have you.

If a sub was completely without transportation, or without a job, or the like - I would say that it was one of those times in life where they need to focus on improving themselves and their current situation first, and worry about starting a relationship later. It's better to spend time working on the issue(s) that they feel is blocking them finding the relationship they want (especially if it's something like lack of transportation - get a job, save money, buy a car), rather than inviting all the frustrations that go along with being turned down all of the time.

I would not. Not because of the effort it would take but for safety issues. I would not go to your house and pick you up on a first meeting to be alone in my vehicle. Maybe if I had a male friend who packs with me. Maybe not.

However, for a first meeting I find it hard to believe there is not some compromise. What about the bus? Can you take the bus to a nearby Starbucks?

For a continuing relationship, I would have no problem with this for awhile if it was not completely out of my way. I would have to see you were attempting to improve your situation and you had something to contribute. If you are getting an education and there would be an eventual pay off, I have no problem with this. But I would not like feeling I was being mooched off for a long time, paying for everything and doing all the driving. If I felt you were doing all you could within your means, no problem.

No. I would not. First of all I can't be assured you would actually be there and I do not waste my time, effort and money for someone who may flake out...I spent my time doing that and won't ever again.

Second if you can't make your way to meet me once then you have no initiative or want to do so or you haven't the intelligence to figure out how to make it work. There are all sorts of public transit systems in this world and if you want to meet me you can take three buses and the Metra to do it. I realize that sounds very cruel but that's exactly how I feel.

So to sum up: it's about your initiative and brain power and my lack of believing anyone will really show until I see their pretty little face in person.

I have a nice, young man coming over to do some yard chores for me tomorrow. I live way north, in the middle of nowhere. He lives south. His bus will arrive at about 10:45.
Need I say more? If you want to do it, you will find a way.

No, I would not go pick up a sub to "serve" me. To my thinking, that would be putting ME in a position of service to the sub, and that's simply not going to happen. If a sub wants to interact with me, they're going to find a way to get here of their own volition. I don't offer curbside service.

With the abundance of submissives I have to choose from, who do have their own method of transportation, I'd have to say honestly that a sub who does not know how to figure out a bus schedule, a train schedule or good walking shoes, would not be my first choice with whom I'd be interested in developing a relationship. For the other reasons mentioned (safety, convenience, initiative) I strongly concur. Fortunately, I live in a city where public transport is in abundance. You may want to focus on your education and then worry about developing a relationship with a domina.

No, I wouldn't. They can find a way to me if they're really interested. Public transportaion, bicycle, walk, friends, etc.

I'm afraid I must agree with the other ladies. The subs I deal with only need a set time and directions and they come to me. If they don't have their own transportation I don't meet them.

I will go to meet someone at the train station, provided they send me the agreed TXT that they are actually on the train. I have no problems taking them home afterwards, if it is night time and they are prepared to brave the sidecar of my motorbike. I would also consider collecting a female submissive at night, as public transport isn't really safe in my area after dark. But during the day, I expect submissives to make their own way to my house.

I have picked up pets to serve. I do so for Angel on a regular basis. Hoever, I wouldnt do it until they were established with me. On a first meeting, never. Later on, Maybe.

I think it depends on the individual and the level of involvement that I have with them. Their resources also come into play. If they're nowhere near me, I'm not going to be the one to always go to them -- as an adult, they need to learn to be resourceful and figure out a way (or take guidance.) For instance, you're in NY, I'm in Philadelphia. You'd need to learn to get on the train and come south from time to time if you don't drive. I however, am not made of money and will not be sending plane tickets around the world to every submissive who doesn't drive and who wants to see me. If they want it bad enough, they'll earn it -- and work hard to put money away for their own plane ticket.

It is.

However, many New Yorkers (city residents) don't drive nor do they have to. They don't even BUS kids to school -- many take mass transit or walk to school. I was stunned to learn that 40% of NYC police applicants don't have a drivers license over a year old when they apply. 20% that get hired have less than a year's worth of driving under their belt. So yeah, not having a driver's license at age 20 isn't a big shock to me.

I wouldn't. I hate driving. If we were established, maybe, depending on circumstances. If he or she got sick or broke a leg or something, more than likely, I would try to help, but as a general rule, no.

Add My vote in with the rest who said no. Especially not in the beginning. I have driven to submissives that I am already established with, but nothing like the circumstances that you are describing. I have been the one to drive to a different town to meet with My submissive when unexpected things have happened, but I've never driven to him so I could pick him up and bring him home with Me. I'm not willing to do all of the traveling and pick up all of the bills so that someone can serve Me.
