I've moved around a lot in my life as well, and while material things definitely aren't what make a home, I do think the familiarity of certain things are maybe what make us more emotionally comfortable in the new place. My last move was slightly traumatic, I was forced by circumstance to leave a lot of things behind that had significant emotional value to me. What I discovered was that, for myself, home is where my um and family are. Yes, I miss some of the things..an afghan my grandmother had made for me when I was a little girl, things like that, and I was sad for a while not having them around, but I still have the memories, and those are more important. Having that experience shifted my mindset in more ways than one. I think maybe it's one of those things, that unless you've had to experience it, can be hard to put into perspective. Just my two cents, as always... -a
