Bashing the 80s. In part- cos the music wasnt like lenard skinnard, or even the beatles for that matter.

As a couple you end up with a neutral response. One vote of bash - one of defense.

The reason way talk radio was born and successful in the 80's was because music sucked! I stopped listening to music when the songs were comprised of 2 chords.

beth being a product of the 80's doesn't share that opinion. To her - Disco and specifically Prince and his associates were the 'golden age' of music.

When you come to our house you get an eclectic blend of late 60 through 70's blend of Beatles, CSNY and Springsteen inspired, as well as the Disco party music of the 80's.

the 70s had some good rock as well. i like pretty much everything but rap and classical. not that i would slam the folks that do- simply that - it isnt my taste.

fleetwood mac had a great album or 2.  rumours was big- i love the song "you can go your own way"!

Donna Summer Live and More was a dance album.

notwithstandand the under appreciated "Moody Blues".  Nights in white satin, my fav song from them is" question"  the lyrics are great- the licks are awesome!

I have a lot of fond memories of the 80s, and as Tarisa said, parts of them are a blur, too.

Skipping school, cruising in my Trans-Am.... sleeping on the beach for a week, and all we thought to bring was a loaf of bread, some balogna, 2 cases of beer, and Jack Daniels...... Fast Times At Ridgemont High, Ferris Bueller, My Bodyguard, Porky's, Pretty In Pink....... my first concert, Pat Travers Band and Rainbow....... losing my virginity ........listening to KZOM (Zoom, 104 and a half), they rocked and did not care about any corporate bull, and me and my best friend, sitting in my car at midnight, burning one, as the station went off the air, playing The Who's "Long Live Rock"..........

Good thread.

the S curve. drive on LSD_ yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhh- [LSD = Lake Shore DRive]  You can not see the other side from any of the great lakes! It has an ocean feeling.

years later i still think of the fire at teh Drake.
