not meaning to highjack or sidetrack, but B&B did a new scent this spring. the coconut lime verbena. it smells like you just walked in from the beach. it really is so yummy, and not real heavy to all. so if you like that suntan lotion smell, ya gotta try it.

ok, highjack over

chellekitty -> RE: dumb question.... (7/11/2007 10:17:09 PM)

smell is one of my favorite senses...ok so i like to indulge in all my senses, things that sound good, taste good, smell good, feel good, look good....my favorite sense on a man is fresh sweat...actually thats a requirement for me to be in a relationship, your sweat must smell good to me...

on women, i like light scents that blend with their body chemestry...i can spray the same perfume on me, my mom and my grandmother and the scent will smell different on each of us...and usually smell good on one of us, smell wrong on another, and then just stink on the last...no set pattern to which one is which though...its weird...

on me, i like very strong scents because i absorbe them very fast or something...so in 30 minutes they are light...i like citrus and chamagne type bases as well as certain flowers...orchids, gardenias, jasmine...

angelslave77 -> RE: dumb question.... (7/11/2007 10:40:15 PM)

I am with chelle, if I wear a subtle scent it is gone in no time so I tend to go with stronger perfumes, but Master seems to like them on me but as they are the expensive ones I dont wear them often. I too love vanilla from an Aussie place called The Body Shop

Coconut Lime Verbena is my favorite from B&B, although it's not new, I've been buying it for a couple of years now. I also like their Cucumber Melon, White Tea & Ginger and Rice Flower & Shea. They discontinued the last two on me.

The only perfume I wear is Inis.

I would have to with 'clean shower' and not much else.. but then I like to lick and have ran into the 'deoderant on the tongue' thing more than once. *cringe* . I don't find fresh sweat to be a bad odor.

Agreeing with Savage... Fresh summer sweat, that has not soured and turned nasty can be a real turn on, but just clean is best. I don't like antiperspirants as they work by blocking pores, and it is actually unhealthy.

If she wears a touch of scent to go out, anything that is light breezy and floral is nice. I find that anything with musk in it smells like piss to me. Yuck...

MySweetSubmssive -> RE: dumb question.... (7/12/2007 1:07:19 AM)

It's funny, when I close my eyes, I can still smell my late husband ... his body smell, with a hint of cigarette and maybe a little armpit. When he would come home, I would hug him and my nose would go right into his pit.  It smelled like home and love and comfort.

(eyeing this critically, wondering if it sounds like I have corpse stashed in the house)

Pleasant and subtle.

There is no "scent" because body chemistry alters things and some smell better on one than they do on another.

I cannot stand patchouli and it makes me close to violent

I am also disgusted by:
- smoke on the hair, clothes, breath, or skin
- the smell of alcohol on the breath or seeping through the pores
- any otherwise inoffensive scent that is applied too strongly

instynctive -> RE: dumb question.... (7/12/2007 3:25:45 AM)

B has some really nice Bath & Bodyworks stuff that she uss.. or if not that, she has this oil that causes me to go tachycardic.  However, that's not so say that I don't want to jump her as soon as she comes in from mowing the lawn on a hot day..

I don't need fancy perfumes or colognes, and don't generally like anything too over-powering.

On hot women (and some guys) that I don't know.. I prefer them to smell like beer.  Beer = drunk = easy..  ;-)

LOL

julietsierra -> RE: dumb question.... (7/12/2007 4:55:02 AM)

He doesn't want me to wear any artificial scent at all. This is a real good thing because I've discovered over the years that if I do wear something that is "not me" then I need to spray it on and immediately take two ibuprophren. When I know we're going to be spending any time with people we're unfamilair with - and don't know how they use scent, I take the ibuprophren even before I leave the house. Parties and events are especially difficult for me. And I know everyone loves vanilla, but that scent is #1 in the "what makes juliet ill" category. I wish it didn't because I LOVE the smell of it. I just hate what it does to me.

On him, it's much the same way. He doesn't really wear colognes or anything like that and I simply just love the scent of him. (On a stranger note, what I especially love is the scent of him after we've been out in the sun, on a hot summer day. He smells like him - magnified - and it's just plain wonderful to me.)

I have an inability to stand being around many scents.  Heavy florals and other misc. scents tend to give me headaches.  It is interesting so many mention Bath and Body Works because that is the only place I can find lotions, soaps and hand gels that don't give me a migraine.  Not every scent is ok, but most from there are.  I tend to be fine with fruity smells...melon, citrus, berry.  One of my favorites from B&BW is the Country Apple.  I can't bring anything (candles, incense) into the house unless I've made sure it doesn't offend my delicate senses and I always tells those in my life to never buy purfume for me.

On men I love the Axe Body Sprays.  Both my husband and now my slave wear them but each use a different scent.  They are fresh and clean smelling and don't make my head hurt.

BRNaughtyAngel -> RE: dumb question.... (7/12/2007 5:51:09 AM)

I like a nice, clean smell, but also enjoy a guy who wears a light cologne or after shave.

The only scent I wear is Chanel No. 5.... it's classic, soft and feminine.

Oh and I'm another that cannot stand the smell of smoke or booze on a person.  Yuck!

~fast reply again~   :)

What I am really wanting is to find something relaxing and tranquil for my bubble bath.
I love a nice hot, bubbly, bubble bath that smells nice,  (aromatherapy) that I can lose myself in.
I will be at B&B Works tomorrow and probably sniffing everything in the store.

mnottertail -> RE: dumb question.... (7/12/2007 6:48:03 AM)

Ever tried "Lush" bath bombs?, they leave twigs and petals in your bath but they are so relaxing and you smell divine after...
also the sanctuary at Covent Garden do body scrub salts, yummy skin after

slaveaurora -> RE: dumb question.... (7/12/2007 7:12:25 AM)

lol...   I had rubber ducky when I was a kid.  I used to squeeze it under the water and watch it fart.    lol.

I don't know how relaxing and tranquil that would be now.

lighthearted -> RE: dumb question.... (7/12/2007 7:19:59 AM)

I love scents from L'Occitane, they have some great, crisp ones, my fave right now has just a hint of orange.  he loves it too.

I enjoy perfumes, too, but only a little on the wrists and a bit behind the ears.  Armani Code, Tuscany per dona, CK1.

SirMIkeSD -> RE: dumb question.... (7/12/2007 7:27:14 AM)

I can not stand aftershaves, etc on my boy. Clean and natural is the on;y way to go.
