I'm sure this will be disagreed with, especially since I'm new here, but after browsing some pretty irritating profiles, I have to say it.

Being a total b*tch is not the same thing as being a dominant female.

I know that some guys probably really get off on it, and more power to them, but for me, these profiles where women show off how staggeringly trashy and vulgar they can be are not impressive and I'm more inclined to insult them (I would never do so directly, as it is against the rules) than deem them worthy of my submission. I think a lot of the girls here have been ruined by guys who just want to be ordered around by anyone with breasts.

Am I alone in these sentiments?

KaramelGoddess -> RE: Okay, this needs to be said . . . (7/15/2007 6:24:35 AM)

Hello,

My advice: read some of the profiles of the women who post here on the forums.  Not every Domina is like what you've described.  Don't let yourself be jaded by the few profiles that are obnoxious!

Greetings.

Well on the basis of what you have written here and your screenname, I'm not sure whether to welcome you to these forums or the Burger King menu, so I guess I will welcome you to both.

But seriously...(please forgive my pun, I couldn't resist it)

I understand however how you are feeling, and browsing through some of the profiles (irrespective of gender and role) I sometimes have to shake my head and wonder where some people get their ideas from. However there are many very good Dommes here (why I can think of some 87 Dommes who regularly post here off the top of my head) and there are many others, and I'm sure there's one out there looking for someone just like you.

It may seem to be like a needle in a haystack, but if you're a masochist, I'm sure you won't have too many problems.

Given how many "male subs" send out emails full of sexually explicit lists of what they want done, with attached pictures of genitals for good measure, I would say there's a market out there for the "vulgar model" of Domme.   As Karamel says, you'll find some vastly different examples posting here on the boards.

Just a note:  if you'd like to be seen as "better than that model of male sub", you might want to learn to refer to the Dommes here as women, not "girls".  :-)

goddessAVA -> RE: Okay, this needs to be said . . . (7/15/2007 7:03:33 AM)

While I am sure you are not alone in your thinking, I have to ask why you feel the need to attack anyone on cm.  BDSM forums attract many, yes, but it is very easy to ignore and not read a profile.  I think perhaps you are angry that there are pro-dominas on here?  I believe in letting people develop on their own in this lifestyle, not judge or dictate how they present themselves, what fetishes are acceptable or unacceptable, and how they indulge be it cyber or 24/7 ltr.

Personally, I agree with you. But the number of women AND men who don't is astounding. Supply and demand - if a sub thinks that the only thing needed to be dominant is bitchiness, then there will eventually be a supply of bitchy dommes to fill that niche. While some of them may be a response to subs who treat them like a life support system for whip, tits, and pussy to worship, some of them truly think that's what being dominant is about.

Skip the profile, keep looking, and you'll find someone who you feel is worth your time.

Hi and welcome,

Yes there are a lot of hmmm not "friendly" seeming profiles it is not just limited to dominant women but is across the board. But at the same time if you keep looking there are a lot of friendly seeming people out there. Just ignore the profiles that aren't of your choosing and move on.

And you don't think the situation is plundered away by gentlemen of similar ilk who want to label themselves "meat" and address grown adult women as "girls"?  I'm just sayin.....

Lashra -> RE: Okay, this needs to be said . . . (7/15/2007 9:57:33 AM)

I am not a girl, but a Dominant female so no one has ruined me. I am not bitchy or bossy (unless your my sub or work for me in the company that I own) then, yes I am bossy because that is my position in those relationships. I am human being, I try to use good sense and manners as often as possible.

I think rudeness is a perspective. I have in my profile that NO Dominant, Gorean or traveling to bmore males are to contact me asking me to be their sub or to ask for me to dominante them. I do not consider that rude, just straight forward, but some people consider ir rude. I frankly do not care what they think its my profile and that needed to be said.

I agree some profiles of all sexes can be just plain rude or boring, depending upon your perspective.

Sure, and being willing to send random strangers photos of your cock in bondage is not the same as being a submissive male.  But there are an annoying number of people who lack the intelligence and social skills to relate to other human beings in the BDSM lifestyle, so they have no better approach than to wave their wabbly bits about in a crude manner.  It works fine with other people who are seeking a completely shallow and one dimensional interaction.  Ignore them and move on if you're not in that category.

Your profile isn't bad, but you may have revealed more here about your fundamental attitude towards the lifestyle and towards women than is likely to be good for your search.  If you're looking for a genuinely dominant woman who is also a real person and who wants to get to know a potential submissive as a real person, calling her "girl" probably isn't the best way to begin.  Nor is complaining about "all the girls here" on the basis of crude profiles that may well have been written by male scammers.

Am I the only one who sees the irony in a guy, whose name shows him to be lost in the fantasy of being only meat, bitching that some "girls" only see men as meat?

I hope not!

Wow, how many profiles did you "read" in 24 hours?

Actually, I refuse to treat people that way.  I guess you would be suprised at how many emails stop because I won't do that.  To me it's playing online and I won't do that.  I try to treat everyone with respect....I tell them that until I collar them, they are just another person that I am meeting, and I'm not going to order them around and call them names.

Maybe you should talk to your "meat" counterparts, a lot of them should share in the blame as well.

And trust me, I know there are bad Dommes/Doms just as there are bad subs/slaves but just a suggestion....like others have said....maybe you ought to rethink your nik.  Not saying that you are asking for such treatment or deserve it, but some might see that and think that is how you want to be treated....like meat

LadyPact -> RE: Okay, this needs to be said . . . (7/15/2007 10:40:52 AM)

Actually, I'm not going to disagree with you.  There have been plenty of discussions here about the difference between being dominant and domineering, how common courtesy has suffered due to online only exposure, etc., that have probably contributed to what you might be seeing.  While I won't say that any of these things have "ruined" anyone, they may have contributed to what you're seeing in some profiles.  Some have become jaded by the never ending barrage of "do me" subs, fakes, flakes, Frosted Flakes, Tony the Tiger, Tucan 'SAMS', and everything else that windes up in One's mailbox.  (Yeah, shoot Me.  I didn't eat breakfast.)

Seriously, though, there are quite a few that frequent the boards here who aren't like that.  Dominant women who make very good contributions to discussions.  Stick around for a while and you'll see who is really worth your time and potentially your submission.

BlindNbound2 -> RE: Okay, this needs to be said . . . (7/15/2007 11:26:18 AM)

Welcome,
Yes there are some very rude profiles out there, but if you look around a little you can find some very nice Dominant Females . I talk to serveral. Give yourself time to be known and the Dominant Females will contact you.

*chuckle*  Since I get all my meat directly from small sustainable family farms in the original mooing, bleating or squealing packages, it is not usually a idea for someone to introduce themselves to me as "meat" unless they really want me to start thinking about them in terms of freezer space.  [&:]
