The way I see it, he's rude for inviting himself on an excursion you'd already planned, he's rude for pushing you about it, he's manipulating you to meet him at that time (the hunchback remark), and it makes me feel sketchy. If you allow him to drop in on your excursion with your friend, then you're being rude to her - if you ask her now, she will probably feel obligated to say it's no problem. Your friend is the reason you'll be in Philly, and it makes it seem like you were just using her as a convenience. I realize this isn't the case but it is most unseemly and lacking in basic etiquette.
Suppose he does come along. What if he's a total bore? What if he is uncouth? You don't know this person - it may ruin the outing for ~everyone~. A good rule of thumb is to ask yourself how you would feel if one of your friends invited a stranger along on an out-of-town excursion you'd been planning together.
