IF I "perhaps" seem a bit rough on some,its because the refuse to answer a plain and simple question,What have they done
to serve this country.I believe that everyone that enjoys the benefits of this great nation must serve..They can tear this country apart not giving a dammmm.And professing to being americans..Some have never served a day in service to their country militarily or other wise...If all you can do is rant and not offer a viable solution and can''t stand my heat then get out of my kitchen..bounty

Those of us who have actually served in the military and long after, don't owe you a damn thing Bounty... including an answer to your insulting challenge.
It must have been lonesome, winning the Vietnam war all by your big bad self, hmmmm?

And anyone has as much right as you do to disagree with politicians in this country, whether you give them permission to do so or not.

The Constitution allows people the Right To Freedom Of Speech.  BOUNTYHUNTER fought in Vietnam to preserve the US Constitution, and then allows other people to have the power to offend and upset him by having the absolute unmitigated gall and temerity to actually use the Constitutional Right of Freedom Of Speech which he fought in Vietnam to preserve.

I find it simply fascinating.

I studied all sorts of different sides of the War in Vietnam when I was in college.  I have respect for the person who went in country to fight that war, I have respect for the person who took a bullet at Kent State protesting it, I have respect for the Buddhist Monk who who self-immolated to show the world the war was wrong without harming other people to do so.  I have respect for the constitutional objector who fled from his home to Canada, never to return.

I dont have much respect for the idiots who sent them to either Vietnam or Iraq in the first place.  The idiots in charge are sacrificing the good people of this country to become engaged in a obtuse and idiotic clusterfuck.

People are dying.

You have my deepest sympathies if you see my pacifism and war resistance as somehow trying to denigrate or insult what you went through in Vietnam, BOUNTYHUNTER, but I will not be silent (my ability to not be silent is in the Bill of Rights) about my opinions on this war or the government of this country.

Well, there *is* this subset of Cowards:

* Supports Bush's War -- AND
* Of service age -- AND
* Not serving.

Which are CLEARLY identifiable.

"The Old USA" is SUBORDINATE to The People. By Definition. To be changed, or replaced at The People's Will.

I had thought it intuitively obvious to the most casual observer that those conditions were ANDed together. If you do not satisfy ALL three conditions, than you are excluded from that subset.

I'll go clarify the text of that post, to remove the chance of misunderstanding...

The Nation is to be changed, or replaced at the discretion of The People. That principle is fundamental to the Declaration of Independence.

No one who professes to Love America can possibly reject that most important principle.

Speak for yourself. My family, and the city I live in BOTH predate the 1789 Constitution.

And we'll both be here long after the dysfunctional Constitution is, like the Articles of Confederation, LONG forgotten...

Are you seriously accusing me of commiting a federal crime?

Since you don't support Bush's war, BY DEFINITION you are excluded from the subset I identified earlier.

On average, we kill 2.25 American Kids in the occupation of Iraq.

Exactly WHAT BENEFIT will those troops see, for their loss?

I don't see the Iraqi Parliment showing up for work, much less singing Kumbaya and passing the Afghani Black Hash around in the hookah, MUCH LESS Standing Up, Securing Their OWN FUCKING TERRITORY, and divvying up their assets so we can finally GET PAID for all this shit...

So, what do the troops get, and what do *WE* get out of this?

Calling politicians and their blind followers on their BS is serving this country.

Are you seriously suggesting farglebargle break the law against public dueling?

IF the nation has lost it's course, as per the Declaration of Independence the MOST PATRIOTIC ACT POSSIBLE is the dissolution of the broken government and it's replacement.

So, the answer to your question, "Please explain what you have done to serve her", is "Put her out of our misery, and replace her with a Government in compliance with the principles of the Declaration of Independence"

DEFENDING a broken nation is NOT PATRIOTIC in the least.

WE get a lesson well taught, that a son trys hard to out do his father, Believe me when I tell you its hard walking in your fathers footsteps especially when he has very large feet..That a sitting president must have men/women around him that can say no,WE must add another brigade or two another carrier task force..doesn't matter what your views on the military we need to become stronger..BH

As do I.

Please show me a modicum of respect by refraining from your threats and insults in the future, accusing me of committing crimes, and your attempts to paint me with a mask of behavior or attitudes that I do not wear.

p.s. Regarding your "what have you done to serve her" nonsense, that is a tactic used to try to convince other people that they have to get your approval for what they have done.  Another term for this is "emotional blackmail."  I, for one, dont really care whether or not you approve of what I do.  If you want to know what I have done, review my posts.
