I completely agree with LadyHeart, a hard limit is hands off---if you have to state that, one or both of you either has serious issues or one too many fantasy sites----gees.

not to make light of people's hard limits but the funniest one I ever saw was "No yellow gumboots" apparently that was up there with death, scat and animals

I've said that was one of my hard limits. Granted I was in a conversation where it was understood that would be a hard limit and I was teasing but still there are some people I've met where I really felt the need to say that it was a hard limit. There are some people out there who have *interesting* fetishes....

Personally, there are many instances in which I would kill myself or allow myself to be killed- granted they are all fairly unlikely unless some medical issue arose in me, but I do know that's still possible. That has everything to do with ME and nothing to do with being a slave.

The important thing is that Winter is still not understanding that this is a relationship in which she simply needs to stay true to herself, use good judgement, and make whatever life she chooses for her. Whatever limits she feels she needs, she should have.

I have a limit on getting water in my ears. That has nothing to do with submission and is a fairly silly thing for most people. But I have hearing problems and tubes and water is forbidden.

I go with the standard 3-4 limits, everything else is open to discussion. I may not like a lot
of things, but i'd go along with them, because they're not limits, just strong dis-
likes.

U can't kill IS a reasonable hard limit, yet, I'd be troubled if someone that I was interested in playing with of having a relationship needed that as a disclaimer. I mean even though we do different play than vanilla relationships, when it came down to sex, I never heard a play partner say this...

But on the other hand there are some levels of kink that there should be comfort levels.
