Oh, oh! I want to answer this one: A) It is humiliating for the sub. B) It is often emasculating or defeminizing for the sub. C) It is hot as hell for me. It's also a great tool for a top. For example, you can use it to put someone into subspace...slap lightly and say demeaning things to him/her, or you can use it to pull them from subspace....slap them sharply and quickly introduce another sensation. But, most of all, it's hot as hell for me.

My first slave had face slapping as one of his hard limits. For quite a while, I never thought I'd like it much. When it came to My second boy, he not only accepted it, but encouraged Me to do it. If one wants to be humiliated, corrected in the way they are speaking, or a score of other things, a slap to the face can be the best answer.

But I do it though in way that may seem to be very "touchy feely, lovey dovey" to somoe folks who slap in a different way. I have enjoyed face slapping on a few different levels... One- It is sometimes an effective way to instantly get my submisisve to focus, or realize that his behavior at that moment is unacceptable. Not done too often in this situation, but when done it makes an impact (pun intended). Two) I have enjoyed it as a sexual release during sexual activity.... A not-so-gentle reminder that he is owned by me and that I will do as I please... and it excites me a lot so that I want to do even more as I please for as long as I please. Three) I LOVE the expression on his face immediately after the slap... it's like instant sub-space. Makes me either want to do something even more wicked, or else kiss him all better. I am not a pure sadist, though I have a sadistic side.. just with someone I feel a bond with. I might enjoy face-slapping with one male and not another. It's not the face-slapping activity I enjoy, rather the bonding experiences I desire with a particular submissive.

As a servant seeking a Mistress an occasional slap for failure to carry out a simple directive or a slap to reinforce the dominant's authority would be a sting worth bearing. Another thought is that sometime 'negative attention' is better than no attention at all????

In my case because it drops one of my guys immediately into the zone I want him in - and all the beating, whaling, pounding and punching I could muster never would.

I can't answer this for everyone I can only answer this from a bottom's perspective and from the conversations I've had with the Lady in Charge (I'm into it for the same reasons as far as I can tell). And that's that She does he faceplay...not just faceslapping but faceplay, because it's personal. It's intense and it's initmate. And not very many people get into it because of that. There's no where to go when someone's in your face. And having control over that or a lack of control (depending on who you are) is... well...bliss.

One of the slaves in My Family resists everything. she will not be led willingly into anything. For her, the resistance is 90% of the fun. Knowing her limits, it is wonderful to unleash Myself upon her to varying degrees. Faceslapping is a part of that, as Others have mentioned, it is a very effective way to get her where I want her to be at any particular time. Also, hearing her bitch about how sore she is days after a grueling scene makes it all the better.
