Me personally i read some books as a 17year old and i was hooked from that moment on.But what about the rest of you just out of interest?Thanks to all who reply here.

An ex-girlfriend of mine kept telling Me that she saw these posts on craigslist for guys looking to have their balls crushed by Women. I kept asking her why was she telling Me that because that wasn't Me. Her response was that I was a natural and that I would be very good at it. After that I started browsing through the ads to see what she was talking about. I replied to an ad to ask general questions. I was sent a link to this site and I was instantly hooked by it. I have met My share of fakes and pretenders but I have also met subs/slaves in person and had a really good time. One of them paid cash upfront to book Me for the summer.

In my case it started about 4 girlfriends ago. Yeah I know that's a really chauvinistic way to tell time blah blah blah, anyhow.

It was a gradual sort of thing. I always liked being in control. It started with handcuffs and blindfolds, then trips to the local crappy sex shop. Then 2 girlfriends later I started making longer trips to get the "good stuff." I've lost count of how many handcuffs, floggers that just didn't cut it anymore. Now, where I'm thinking about taking up welding just so I can start making the big stuff.

Also after a while vanilla sex just gets boring. When you've looked through the Kama Sutra and done all the positions that your and your partner's anatomy allow... what's left?

In addition sex is a HELL of a lot more satisfying for me as a Dom.

i always liked being spanked, but the way regular guys did it seeemed to have something lacking. I met Master six months ago and it was love at first spank. now i crave to be restrained and hurt as He wishes.

I've had a fasenation with tying people up since I was a kid...my ex had no interest in such things..he was rather boring in the bedroom come to think of it...anyway, after he left I decided to do some reasearch and wound up here.

Hmmm about 5-6 yrs ago, a friend of mine who is also a Dom saw my interst and suggested a few books to read and he aslo talked a bit about this to me. He has this ability to see a sub's secret desires and plants the seed for this interest to develop!

I think the short answer for *some* people would be "childhood sexual abuse." I can assure you that not everyone, not even 'most' people interested in this lifestyle were drawn to it by childhood trauma.

~Editted to add that while my predisposition to masochism existed from a fairly young age, the interest in BDSM really became apparant when I was researching Medieval torture methods for a middle school paper ^_~

i was raised in a female dominated household. Yes, i have a father who is a brilliant man(retired doctor and community leader) but my mother was and is definitely the one who is in charge. They say their marriage is a partnership but it's not. My father willingly has given my mother most of the power.

When i got older and experimented with phone sex, i automatically wanted to call Mistresses. And, when i got online, i searched out femdom and mistress information.

i only recently realized where my submissiveness towards women came from and accept it completely.

I was fortunate in my childhood and teenage years. I was the only female who was out and about all the time in my neighborhood and had 8 guy friends to play with. I had a few girlfriends I had crushes on. I also had an older brother who had friends who liked me. It was a lot of fun. Being a domme rocks!

I was never any good at chattin' up the ladies...Kind of shy....When I was a kid my aunt would make me drink a lot water and hold it while she put me down by her feet and played the organ.

At a very early age, it is one of my first memories, someone wearing a mask spanked my ass. I remember being a bit wet and messy, but don't exactly know how I got that way. My vague recollection of the incident has an image of a person wearing a mask and latex gloves. It didn't hurt me so much but the shock of the experience had be howling.

i was young - and it came from watching cartoons. i was always very drawn to the princesses and maidens being captured and tied up for the hero to come rescue. There was an underlying tension that i didn't understand until i grew up. i wanted to be that maiden so badly, and while i tried to bring such aspects into relationships, i often went unsatisfied. Curious about why these urges weren't looked upon as "normal," i did some research, picked up some books, and Ta-Da! i knew the correct terminology for what i was inside.

nothing special - about 5 yrs ago, merely met a Dom online and kept calling him "sir" in each of my replies who asked if i knew what a submissive was. nothing in my childhood or teenage years can i relate my interest in BDSM

i was never struck by anyone as a child. a well behaved child with lots of freedom. loving caring parents. yet considered a natural slave by my Owner.

I have always wanted to be controlled and ever since I was really young I loved to serve ppl. I really discovered bdsm when I was 16. At the time I didnt know that there was a name for it until about 3 years ago.
