DemonMaster9 -> Employment of a sub/slave (7/26/2007 1:31:49 PM)

Just fair warning this thread has gotten so far off topic.
Second i will leave my original post but that no longer is what the thread is about and i have decided against it.

If there is a way to delete this thread i would delete it.

============================================

I just read someones profile that said they where looking for someone to employ them.
This made me start thinking about my business i plan on creating.
Since i find 24/7 relationships interesting but not for me i am thinking about this.
The business i intend to start will start as just a animal rescue/kennel/groomers. I expect to only need to employ 2 people since i will be doing most of the work myself.
I think employing 2 sub/slaves would make for some exciting and interesting working.

Here are my questions.
Does anyone have any experiance or knowledge of how this would really work?
Also any advice on how to do this.

thanks,
Jeff

ProlificNeeds -> RE: Employment of a sub/slave (7/26/2007 1:35:45 PM)

Offering employment to a sub is no different than offering employment to anyone else, unless you plan to make their work pay for room and board. You certainly don't want to involve employment + sexual activity of any kind, that'll put you dangerously into the grey areas of legality.

OsideGirl -> RE: Employment of a sub/slave (7/26/2007 1:39:41 PM)

I know enough about it to say that you'd be open to a sexual harrassment suit if you engaged in anything remotely D/s or BDSM-ish. Not to mention discrimination lawsuits if their hiring was based on the fact that they're submissive.

All it takes is pissing off the wrong person.

Do you have a business plan?  Have you forecasted five years and done all your research?  Can you afford to compensate these people?  Can it be done legally?

You are 18?

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh kay..

DemonMaster9 -> RE: Employment of a sub/slave (7/26/2007 1:42:27 PM)

Yeah i figured as much.
While that sucks, but definatly puts that off the list of things to try.
Thanks

NakedGirlScout -> RE: Employment of a sub/slave (7/26/2007 1:47:23 PM)

I agree with Aakasha (and the other posters so far). As an animal rescue volunteer, I know how much work has gone into some of the more successful rescue groups out there, and how many committed volunteers it takes-- and the extremely high turnover due to burnout.

Why would you hogtie yourself from the get-go by saddling your employees or volunteers with the "submissive" label, when the work has nothing to do with a for-profit professional dungeon?

And... as Aakasha pointed out... have you gone over your business plan with your bank? Have you spoken to many other successful groomers/rescue workers about what it takes to be successful? Do you have an accountant or have you learned how to use your accounting software to file business taxes and employee benefits (do you have accounting software??).

There is so much to do and to think of when starting a small business that the fun-factor of "hey, my employee is a sub!" is just... not going to cut it.

I am still making my business plan and going through college now. I don't intend to start it for 2+years, just entertaining the idea.
As for legal that was my main question by asking if people have any experiance with this because it does leave you open for lawsuites. Although i have worked in local businesses and sexual harasment is not like in the movies where a women sues a man for just making a comment. Hell the last business owner i worked for would walk up to the workers and just say nice tits then walk away. He even hit on the customers and teenage workers.
Yes, that can happen and that is why you don't employ any women that applies. Although i do figure this would leave the door to far open for lawsuites.

Am I 18? My only response to that is WTF and f*** off.

This is precisely why you would be an EXCELLENT candidate to start your own business, manage it, stay afloat, AND have submissive women working with you!  It must be your maturity and realism.  GO for it!

Honestly don't mean any offense to you but seriously.
I didn't post here for business advice.
As for the fun-factor, that is going to be the biggest part to my business.[:D]
I am serisous though i have worked in enough business to know that when employs have fun the business does a lot better. The best business is one where employees don't feel like shit, have fun, and can talk to everyone that works there without having to be formal or worry about getting sued and in trouble.

Thank you.
Actually the most successful and famous veterinarian and clinic in my area is the also the most imature man you will ever meet. Also the only thing ever on his mind that he makes clear is sex 24/7, even when doing a surgery to eating lunch.

Ummm, yes it does. Take it from people that have more experience in the work force, we've seen it.

One of my employers was once sued for racial harrassment when a black co-worker told a story about not being able to sleep and watching the original Japanese versionof Godzilla. She said that dubbed movies always made her laugh because the mouth movement doesn't match up. The woman who sued, was Korean, not Japanese.

And by the way, if any of my employers said, "Nice tits" they'd be having a chat with a lawyer so quick it would make their head spin.

Wow, this is getting so far off topic.
And like i said i decide who i hire. So no offense but i wouldn't hire you, even though i am not the kind of person to do that i hate people that sue without even trying another way.
Lawsuites are not about who is right or wrong, they are about time and money. I will have no problem going to court with someone over something because i have the time and money. To many people walk on there toes because they afraid of being sued and that is a major problem with out society. A big reason i want to run a business is because i want to change the way things are run in out society. For example the gross abuse of the courts. Also the current business called college that seves no point of any kind but to make money, it should be about education but it isn't.

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: Employment of a sub/slave (7/26/2007 2:14:15 PM)

Marry the slave, make them move in with you and do all the work of a paid employee- but you get all the money.

You don't have to call someone or process them as an employee for them to basically be one.

Although you can still get in trouble if she decides to make it for you.

LaTigresse -> RE: Employment of a sub/slave (7/26/2007 2:15:09 PM)

Oh for crying out loud.......grow up!

But no, you will just keep digging yourself in deeper and the rest of us will be sitting here laughing at you........

Thanks for actually giving an actaul on topic response. Although i have decided complete against it as a bad and stupid idea. Like i said in the original, it was just something i saw and hadn't thought through.

No offense, but you have no way of knowing who will sue and who won't.  All it takes is hitting that one person's trigger point and that trigger point may be innocuous.

Trying another way? You should know that saying "nice tits" to an employee is inappropriate. I shouldn't have to find another way to solve the issue, because it shouldn't get said in any workplace, unless it's something that involves pole dancing.

feastie -> RE: Employment of a sub/slave (7/26/2007 2:30:36 PM)

Regardless of who you hire, there are still laws which must be observed.  Last time I checked, running a business doesn't have much bearing on changing society.

True.
Society is created around business. Do you watch TV? Drive a car? Ever seen a charity?
Business have the greatest impact on society and the way people act, what they do, and what happens. What cloths do you wear and why? How do some people talk and why?
People are the society and people are influenced by businesses.
I intend to have a park for kids and families, and to try and create a better community where people talk to each other and learn do things.

A) How exactly is your business going to change that? The only way to change is to become a court offical.
B) Yes it really is that way. Nowadays just about any male doctor working with a female patient takes a female nurse in with him so that it's not "his word against hers" in case she decides he touched her sexually. It gets pretty tricky in the breast cancer field where, OMG, the doctor has to actually touch the breast!

Bottom line: You have no idea who is going to sue like that and who isn't because they won't tell you. And really, this isn't off-topic as it does very much pertain to the OP - running a business with submissives. Off-topic is when we start talking about wine and cheese. [:)]

We have been doing it that way for years with no issues.
