ORIGINAL: Lucylastic NEW YORK (Reuters Health) - Like the common cold, obesity can be spread from person to person, new research suggests. A person's social network can influence their risk of obesity, according to new study findings reported in The New England Journal of Medicine. The results suggest that if you want to stay thin, you may not want to surround yourself with obese friends and relatives...... http://www.reuters.com/article/healthNews/idUSHAR56839920070725 Welll Im just off to the cop shop to tell mr plod Im turning myself in as a dangerous weapon. Maybe we should set ourselves up in a "fatty colony" to save the outside world???? Maybe its just payback for all the skinny people who chose us as "friends" so we made them look good? just more fuel to add to the fire Lucy Who cant believe she actually started ANOTHER fat thread Sorrrryyyyyy im sure environment contributes some to it-but having been adopted, after being given birth to by an obese woman. and finding that all 3 of her children became obese after having their first child, even though raised in different environments, gotta say genetics plays a big role in it too..... at the ripe old age of 45, im finally trying to fight the genetics......what a fukn battle it is too-lol...... but if obesity is contagious, theres a few i wanna contaminate......cuz im just sweet that way......
