i am sorry you have rythm problems...but personally if someone flogged me off rythm of anything i would go nuts...as some one who is musically inclined and has had some classical training hearing something off rythm, not to mention feeling it, is like nails on a chalkboard for some...actually...i like the sound of nails on a chalkboard...maybe its the days of being able to be sadistic to the boys who tortured me in middle school...oh well... as for butt boy, if you don't like it...don't listen to it...there are some of us who do...and if music bothers you so much at a play party or dungeon....go outside? don't go? just frees up a station or sitting area for people who want to be there bad music and all...i love going somewhere to listen to music...a dungeon or play party is not it...and for me, a song with lyrics i know, even rammstein's german lyrics...it distracts me to the point of not feeling whats being done to me...music induced subspace or is that dissociation...hmmm...but i am not gonna insist that the person doing the music NOT play anything with lyrics...cause i want to be there.... anywho... time to go to think about going to sleep...(goin on a mini-vacation tomorrow woohoo) chelle

I'm glad someone mentioned "Rite of Spring." We had a night of classical music at a play party some years back, and although many of the members were skeptical, most were converts by the end of the night. Rite of Spring Firebird Mars, Bringer of War (Holst) 1812 Overture Lux Eterna (2001 soundtrack) The Antartica Symphony The Nutcracker (Arab Dance) The Flying Dutchman (Wagner) Der Valkyrie (the whole opera, not just the "ride of") Carmina Burania (Orff) Bethoven's 6th "Pastoral" " Ode to Joy Prelude to the Evening of a Faun Carmen Midsummer Night's Dream (Mendolsohnn, but exclude the wedding march, it sends the wrong message)

Alice in Chains sets a great mood for a scene. Dark, heavy and melodic. The earlier stuff for the most part is more melodic. Many of the lyrics can be take with a "lifestyle" reference. My little girl (who loves jazz and standards) can't hear Alice in Chains without her mind drifting. It's lovely.

Anything by Rammstein... I have also had the most amazing results with Opera suites depending on the person I am playing with. As for aftercare, light classics like Satie, Beethoven's lighter pieces and I even have some soft meditative background music that just sooth the soul and allow one to drift and remain in that happy place.

For heavy sceneing, and just getting me into a sadistic mood I would say the Soundtrac to "Queen of the Damned" if you have not heard it yet.. it is well worth the listen. It has soft erotic songs, and heavy flogging in time songs. It just brings out the sadist in me. Yeah yeah I know.. a bunch hate Enigma.. there are what, 7-8 albums now. A new one just came out.. and yes it is good. I tend to play the more obscure Enigma. first 2 albums never make the bag. Everyone is sick unto death of them.. and so am I. Thier song Gravity of Love is awesome to scene to. One of my subs, and most of my ex's get a glassed over smile just hearing that song. LOL Diana Krall's "Peel me a Grape" is the quintessential Domme song. Just listen to the lyrics. The men around me know they are in for it when I start humming that catchy little tune. For simple fuckability NIN and Type O neg. are at the top of my list. After care is usualy smooth Jazz, Sade, or something simular. I have loved Sade for ages. I also love soft classical. Gwyn
