Status: offline 		I continue to work and attempt to balance my financial obligation to do so with my personal obligation to finish my college degree.

I continue also to be disinterested and in some ways disgusted by the lack of a local community where I live in which to contact and learn from.  Sure, I'm still probably a child in some of the eyes of people who will read this, but I know what I want and who I am, and I want the opportunity to learn about as many things as I can in life.  I know there are Doms and subs/slaves in my area, I just don't think there are any meetings or munches and its kind of depressing, that an area where I live which has a quarter of a million people is so vacant in this regard.

This is my first time answering the roll call. Last month was pretty heavy for me. I took in a feral mama cat and her three kittens. Originally planned to find them homes but decided to let them stay here, so now I'm living with six cats. I'm having some health issues that are kinda scary. And I ended a relationship that was, in retrospect, really a very big part of my life. I feel a hole inside now, and am, in some ways kinda dead sometimes. It's good having the cats here, though, and my work is going better than it ever has in the whole history of my so-called career. Aside from working and earning more, I feel like I'm finally making a significant contribution in my field.

Status: offline 		Glad you're doing better Mia. I seem to have gotten an unexpected day off today! It doesn't seem that it's possible that it's August for some reason. The year is flying by.

Finishing my first month of clinical internship is in sight. It's amazing how much I've learned. There is a huge difference between the coursework and the actual hands on experience. My mentor is pretty amazing and really lets me do everything and then comes in to make slight adjustments if needed. Which there hasn't been much need to do the more I actually do it. The facility is incredibly busy so those long days don't seem quite as long as they could.  

I'm still working weekends to finance the internship and will be doing so for a few months yet to come.That should be done soon and I'll have my weekends/evenings back or at least more regular days off.

I'm not searching and I'm fine with that. I'm talking with someone and I'm fine with that as well. LOL.

Life is peachy!

Have you thought about maybe setting up a munch yourself? Perhaps there are others in your area that would be interested in one and would attend if one was offered? Search out the people in your area on the other side and see what interest there is in having a get together at a local restaurant for talk and mingling. Given the size of the area I'm sure there are at least a few people that would be looking for a munch as well. I believe there's an area here on the boards as well for advertising social events.

I love summer and having longer days and shorter nights.
My relationship is on track and hopefully we will be together forever.

Everything is pretty damn groovy on all fronts as of late....Heading up north to do a bit of camping and smallmouth bass fishing on the Menominee river.....I do have one major addiction in my life and it happens to be fishing....not fisting...Sorry. 

There is something that is almost impossible to articulate about what I receive from my vice....It might have very little to do wit the act of fishing itself....It is serious down time...It is meditation...It is God.  There is nothing like being out on the water....An eagle slowly dips it's wing, or the sound of water lapping up against a shoreline....Whether I'm pursuing my hobby in the heart of Chicago or some remote area  it matters little, I find myself swept away to a place where there is little else...Just your thoughts, time and space.

It is a rejuvination...On this current trip I will be fishing with a close friend...In the course of a day on the water we might say 60 words to each other...I read somewhere that for every word a man uses a woman says something like 10,000.....It's hard to find peace in their company.

I will be leaving late Thursday eve and returning Monday.....If I don't get eaten by a bar....I shall return. 

Mz Mia it would be nice for you to prepare a wrap up a few sandwiches and a blowjob for my trip.....four days is kinda lengthy without gettin' a lil' sumpin sumpin.

Angel and I are doing wonderfully. Our one year anniversary of his collaring is Sept 13. He graduates this year and if all goes well he will be heading off to grad school.  I am such the proud Mommy lately.

Kitten came and went. He was fun for a while, but with him being in a different state for school and knowing full well we will not be near one another until he is back for the summer... We thought it best to part ways.

I *MIGHT* be looking for another, I might not.  I havent decided yet. That'll wait until the September update.

This is my second post to this forum so I hope that I am not intruding.

I thought this might be a nice opportunity to introduce myself a bit.
 
Life is always busy - there is work and home to take care of.  I love to read and to cook and I enjoy needlework, though I'll never live long enough to complete the many projects that I've tucked away in a closet to be done!  I love dancing socially and enjoy a good, scary movie that makes me keep one eye open all night in the dark!  Or even better if I have to sleep with the lights on! *laughs*
 
Summer has been great, but I can't say that I enjoy it more than any other season.  Each has its own special attractions for me!

Let's see... been busy for me.
  • Turned 40 July 25th... still don't feel or act my age.
  • Nearly bought a motel, but their asking prices was unreasonable, numbers just didn't work.
  • Word to the wise, while tubing on a lake towed by a boat is fun... doing so behind a ski boat going around 50 mph is not a good idea.  After being caught in the cross wake of a passing boat I was launched some 6 feet in the air after which I landed where upon my face slamming into the tube nearly knocked me unconscious... fortunately I have a thick Irish skull... how I managed to still hold on to the grips is a mystery.  No apparent drain bamage.
  • Had a submissive and potential slave come for a visit, she stayed a week and a half, went very well and she's asking to make another visit very soon.  Might have to consider collaring this one, we'll see.
  • Real estate market here is not doing well, which has me worried since I'll have a property coming on the market soon, will have to go back to NC and see what I can get going there instead of anything else in VA.
  • Am getting better doing electrical wiring and plumbing, learning to work with PEX... always something new.
  • Turned a laundry mat into my own comedy club while doing laundry, ya gotta have something to do while waiting for your jeans to dry ya know.
  • Still reading lots of books, decided to finally get around to Adam Smith, The Wealth of Nations.

That's about it I suppose...

Protocol ..........fisherman protocol prohibits me for posting it out on the open.but very nice flyrod action. If you get ahold of Me, I would  share it...........probably

Status: offline 		Hello everyone!  How often do you do roll call around here?  I like the idea.
  • Made ok progress on my triathlon training in July, but not as good as I hoped/planned.  I expect a personal best on a short form (sprint) triathlon and to finish a half-ironman without dying (barely) in September .
  • Discovered advanced bodyweight exercises and am now addicted to training for the front lever and planche.
  • Read most of The Ethical Slut and re-read Time Enough for Love.  I feel like I have a better understanding of poly now and am ready to try incorporating some of the ideas into my relationships.
  • Reconnected with old friends and made some new ones.  One of the new friends may turn into a great business opportunity in the near future.
  • Still no sub in my life right now, but I am ok with that.  I have been emailing with one potential and look forward to meeting her soon.
