I realize this has nothing to do with nothing but eating chinse food tonight brought up a question and I thought I'd ask all of you. Every fortune cookie I've ever got was positive. I'm just curious.... has anyone ever recieved a negative fortune cookie?

they are meant to be positive.  None of them are negative.

They could be. The next time you read one, add two tiny words on to the end of whatever's printed... "in bed."

Don't know if that's either a positive or negative, but it's certainly interesting.

:)

When I went to my first S&M demo (it was on flogging), I went out to a Chinese restaurant with a bunch of people from the demo when it was over. My fortune cookie said "You will go to a place where strange things abound" And I went to my first dungeon play party that night! Isn't that crazy?

And for an even more interesting time... Tack on "with chickens"

So... "Good luck will soon find you" becomes "Good luck will soon find you in bed with chickens."

Hawt.

Probably not intended to be, but I've seen one that announced "Everyone will be amazed at your success"... which could be taken to mean that people who know the recipient would find it hard to believe that anything but failure would ever come.

Or,  it may have been a veiled insult, given that the brand of fortune cookie was 'Sammy'.

omg sappatoti is righttt. spooky, the oddest fortune cookie I had was one that said 'you will have many children'right before I was proposed to.

add 'in bed' to that, and it was accurate.

You scare me Mister lol.

I think one fortune cookie company also has adult sayings on their products such as "A good man is a hard find, a hard man is a good find"
