For the most part, I'm a kitty. But that is only a very, very limited part of me. I'm starting to gain many labels. (Which I use primarily for the benefit of others.)

I have many spirit animals, but at most times, I identify with the feline persuasion. I crawl, I roll around on the floor, I love being petted, if I could purr I would, I love love love having my head petted/scratched, my neck, my back, I arch like a cat... The list goes on. And many of the things I do pretty naturally can be attributed to more than just the felines.

I don't dress as one, JL doesn't like it, though he's open to me getting a tail and ears and maybe paws, much like a little neko costume. I also have a furre persona...a few actually. That tend to encompass more of the different "labels" of mine.

I tend to see myself as a kitten at times, but Master identifies my traits as that of a puppy- eager, excited beyond belief to see him, and not content to sit anywhere but on His lap. But then why do I have this overwhelming urge to purr loudly whenever He touches me?

My cat acts more like a dog in those respects. And I am the same way when I am around JL. I love being around him, near him and either at his feet or with my head in his lap. I meet him at the door when he comes home, yet for the most part I identify with kitt.

Like others have said, it is more who I am then playing a part. There is an animal I associate myself with though; Black Panther.

(comes complete with her own, made to fit, chain harness)

Finally a mention of pet play where the types mentioned are more than just puppy and pony. I really enjoy being a pet kitty, it's just very relaxing and enjoyable form of roleplay for me.

I've been in to pet play for a while now, and have actually been trying to educate my new Dom on it. I have to say, I absolutely love it, it's such an escape, and when I have a girl of my own, I want one who is in to it as well, so that I can experience being on the other side of it. As for what I am, I am a hybrid called da mew. I am a puppy/kitty/ferret mix...yeah, I'm weird. I purr, bark, growl, hiss, pounce, fetch, lap-sit, lick, nuzzle, chase my tail, hop around and wiggle. One of these days, I'll make a costume for myself. So far, He seems to get a kick out of it...some times I'll pounce-wiggle just to make Him laugh. The cat aspect of me is much more the playful, curious, affectionate kitten sort, the dog more that of a partially grown puppy and the ferret...well, thats the hopping and wiggling and chasing people with minature chain-saws. (bonus points if you get that reference!)

Actually I have an additional question related to pet play. I can imagine and have read some of what the pet gets from this play, but I am curious as to what about it makes it appealing to an Owner/Dom/Master?

What makes it appealing? I don't know... it's hard to explain, but it's just fun to do with a sub. I once was explaining puppy play to a vanilla friend of mine, and she ended up asking to try out my puppy mitts and collar. As soon as I put them on her, she got right into it...letting out little barks, moving around me to get petted, and licking my hand. If a vanilla girl who never did it before could have that much fun with it and be that adorable, consider what you could do with a sub under those conditions. It's just a cute way of playing out a master/sub relationship.

was just wondering if anyone may have any sujestions on how to be a better or any good tricks a puppy could do to please the one training them ?

I am a pony. For the second year in a row we will be attending the Pony Weekend at the Farm in KY- can't wait, but hoping it cools down a good bit by then. It's too bad we can't post pics on the forums anymore... I would have some to share. O well.

I absolutely LOVE puppies!!! --- But I'm very particular on the type.

I have a special fondness for strong, traditionally masculine submissives who are especially intelligent and I get the biggest thrill out of puppy play with these types. Part of the thrill is obvious and the other part is, as others have mentioned, enjoying a very playful exchange that still expresses the the D/s nature of the relationship.

Puppy play has a special in my heart. I feel it allows My Pet to be creative and feral in an atmosphere where she is still completed submissive and devoted. Our lives are not always "I say, you do (you swallow, you thank me)" in fact, we enjoy a good deal of nearly vanilla time together. Point is, she has an inner child I like to nurture, and since I don't dig on loving and nurting age play, puppy play is a great time for her to get out her faux wild urges. If my puppy wants to tackle me, I have to teach it not to jump on people.

Anyway... She is My Puppy when I say so. This was decided in my mind long before I met her, long before I knew much about the D/s world. I find out later, however, that "puppies" are male, far more often than they are female. That doesn't bother me at all, but it makes me wonder what the appeal of Kittens are. Do a lot of Kittens wear pointed ears, but act loving, warm, and silly? I've only know one cat that wasn't 'catty.' I could see that, I think My Pet looks far better with pointed cat ears than big floppy basset hound ears.

I guess what I'm asking is this: Did you (whoever choose the creature of the relationship) base it on appearance or attitude?
