This is as it should be.  May I ask if this situation has ever arisen in Your home?  If so, how did it play out?  Was she simply told to change and expected to, or were You involved in some way, like exercising together, approving planned menus, having her keep a food diary, etc.?

Taryn

taryn,

Yes, it comes up in my house. Mainly when I'm considering a new slave joining. My free companion was overweight when we met. In the years we've been together she's lost a considerable amount (70 lbs) but not because it was a requirement from me. Though being with me is what affected her to change. For those that came or will come into my house, they will be expected to toe the line dietarily in the lest. I, for one, have no attraction to very large women (though I don't mind a curvy girl) and most people are over weight because of their diets. One of my two current slaves works out daily in order to lose the weight her husband has allowed her to gain. My other slave joined me in March of this year at 180 lbs. She is now holding steady at 150 lbs and I still have yet to create a work out plan for her. My whole diatribe here is about the fact that yes, I do practice what I preach. I have a disdain for hypocrisy. I, myself, fluctuate between 230 and 240 lbs (the weight I was when I got out of the Army) I am determined not to be one of those fat arsed "Masters" that has to spread my legs like a two-bit whore on nickle night just to sit down. And I don't know about other "Masters" but I like being able to see my own willy.

Antonio,

Thank You for Your reply.

Please convey my heartfelt congratulations to Your free companion. She has accomplished an amazing feat and for that, she has my respect and admiration, as does Your slave that has lost 30 lbs since March.  Also kudos to You for Your diligence in maintaining Your ideal weight all these years.  As You say, it is most people's diet that causes weight gain over the years, and in our society it is difficult to eat the way we should.  I remember last September, when my diet was strictly controlled by my previous Master, I was in school and when I went to the cafeteria for lunch, I found myself surrounded by all this stuff I couldn't have, and like an idiot, I broke down right there.  Talk about embarrassing!  I'd been "good" for several weeks and all the times of driving past fast food places, seeing candy in school and in the hospital cafeterias where I was doing my clinicals, seeing other people in class eating stuff I couldn't have (in fact, that particular morning, a classmate brought glazed donuts for everyone and I didn't eat a single one).....it just all got to me and in that one moment, I felt completely overwhelmed and frustrated.   That was the only time that happened, though.

I would respectfully ask You to be aware, for Your sake as well as those close to You, that there are some medical conditions, such as hypothyroidism, that cause weight gain regardless of how much one diets or exercises.  My poor sister was dieting, working out religiously and yet continued to pack on the pounds much to her frustration.  It took her changing doctors for her condition to be discovered.  I find it amazing that oftentimes things like that are overlooked by healthcare professionals.  Hers went unnoticed by her original doctor for over a year and now she has to lose about 80 lbs.  Yikes!

In any case, please know You have my respect for Your dedication to living that which You profess to believe.  Being able to see one's own willie is always a good thing for sure!

Taryn

I think I'm gonna browse dominant men's profiles on this site for about an hour, and count all the fat men. Who wants to bet it would be around 50%?

There's one less you have to look at.

unfortunately many subs suffer from low self-esteem which is truely a hard situation to live in. it has been my belief and understanding that with the low self-esteem comes a feeling of worthlessness. I do wish that sub/slaves going through this would be able to see that what they offer is truely a gift and not see submission as just a way to be wanted.

i have yet to understand here on this message board when someone can simply ask a question and get so many rude replies.....
it was asked your thoughts....not your attack...
the world in general is "heavier"......it is due to the quick fast pace and in many cases, not including medical conditions now....lack of exercise, aging and lack of will power on some.

JackM1 -> RE: Why So Many Chubby Subbies? (8/14/2007 2:42:04 PM)

i personally wouldnt call myself FAT..but i am chubby(or rather, over weight, but not so much so that i cant wear something sexy that shows a bit of skin). my being a sub has nothing to do with my weight; fact is, i like to eat. i love food, and i love food that tastes GOOOD. also, im not a very active person, i love the gym when im in it, but to get myself to the gym can be a real pain in the you-know-what. i feel like its unfair to catagorize everyone in the "lazy, poor diet, disease, no self controle" groups...what about those of us who just love food? i dont have a particularly poor diet, its actually filled with some pretty good food, but im a chocolate fiend and i love different cultural foods which are not always the healthiest options.

also, let us not forget that not all of us are made to be small. i, myself, was never a small person(forgetting my height ^_~) and i find that, though im still very young, that as i get older its harder and harder to break out of old habits that i had when i was a child(namely, eating big portions, having food late during the day before bed, sugar sugar sugar, a dislike for all cooked and most raw veggies). nooned every thinks about those things, but they contribute a LOT to how and what you eat as an adult. you cant just say to yourself one day "im never going to touch anything fried, or made out of chocolate again. and you know what, salt is out of here too". its POSSIBLE, dont get me wrong, but from personal experience its a very uphill battle. add that you may already be over weight by that point, and you are almost guarenteed to stay heavy, or get heavy again, for the rest of your life.

to the origional question, yes, there are many overweight subs...but take a look at the people you work with, or just random people on the street. obesity is an epidemic in this country, i think the only reason you notice it so much on a website like this, is that you are actively looking at pictures of individuals, instead of seeing them as a giant mass that happens to work in the same building as you. the vast majority of people in the world are not skinny, model-esque looking women and men; real american women are, on average, 4 inches shorter than the average model, and over 40 pounds+ lighter. ex. a model can be 5'10, and weigh 145 ibs. an average woman can be 5'2 and 155 ibs. add in that weight is distrubuted differently with the heights, and you have one very skinny, tall model..and one short, chubby woman.

maybe the people that you see as being "chubby" are actually "average"? we consider models to be the epidemy of beauty and sex appeal, but as i just said, most of them are actually UNDERWEIGHT for their height, freakishly tall, and have little to no curves to speak of. to compare the average person to their standards is like asking a pug to look and act like a grey hound. its never going to happen, and youre just going to have to accept the reality of what REAL people look like.

D's corset DOES smoke.. she's all-over beautiful.  Of course, the secret behind looking great in a corset is having somthing to reign in.. ;-)
