What can I say? I cant accomdate everyone's poor reading comprehension level.

Edited To Add : Perhaps in the future, I use a different bright color of font with every other word to simulate the use of crayons.

Can I use that?  It'll help in the replys I make to some of the boys who obviously arent reading.

sweetnurseBBW -> RE: Altered states. (8/12/2007 6:14:04 PM)

In 12 years never have and never will. We won't play with others that are under the influence either. Just a safety thing for us.

LATEXBABY64 -> RE: Altered states. (8/12/2007 6:27:07 PM)

every time someone picks on someone for spelling or grammar. I tend to wonder what kind of person they really are.. we all have faults some I bet more then others. do not see anyone on here with a Nobel prize in lit or doing anything that is a contribution to humanity other then picking about little flaws people have. Tsk Tsk...

goodgirl85 -> RE: Altered states. (8/12/2007 6:37:14 PM)

I used to have a drink or two (whichever was my limit for the night) before a scene with someone I used to play with , not always but sometimes. Never would I or never have I taken any other drugs before a  heavy scene. And just an fyi painkillers are not a good thing for play.... not only is it dangerous, but the sub would get nothing out of it.

My posts are not without grammar and spelling errors. People have pointed them out in the past.

However, there is a line between a few errors of inconveince and a total butchery of the English language that results in horribly erroneous communication.

SleepyBeast -> RE: Neutered states. (8/12/2007 8:47:38 PM)

I am seriously anti alcohol and drugs, so to me that means I won't use them, and the one I am with is allowed to, now if AmbivilantBunny wants to have a couple fuzzy navels and play co-ed naked nipple twister, good for him. All I really care is that I am not using any of those, and who I am with isn't.

Edited to add: Not in reply to any one person.

MaamJay -> RE: Neutered states. (8/13/2007 12:11:09 AM)

Never had any interest in illegal drugs, know the effects of the prescribed ones I take (and dammit, I even take aspirin and still don't mark worth a damn when Master spanks me hard!), and I am careful with My blood sugar levels so I'm in a good frame of mind. Never developed much of a taste for alcohol and have the dubious reputation of having once got very tipsy on a piece of cake!! (OK so it was the last piece of tira misu and it had obviously sopped up all the liqueur!). I really don't need any such substances to induce Me to relax and have a good time, whether on the Domme or sub side of things. So it's a no way street for Me ... Master is likewise ... and any sub I play with needs to be definitely non-impaired. That means no illegal drugs, I know what prescribed drugs they take, and alcohol consumption is low enough that they are still able to function fully without any deficit. I prefer them sober though so that any altered state is entirely of My doing and within My control! However, I concede that hyper-nervy ones may do better with a glass of alcohol to bring them down to most people's normal state. Much more than 2 glasses and I would be wary, not so much as an adherent to a fixed amount as being important (I am cognisant of the effects of body mass and other factors alluded to previously), but more because I prefer not to develop relationships with people whose alcohol tolerance is so different from Mine.

When We hosted play parties We allowed people to bring alcohol, though certainly didn't sell it (which I think gives a conflicting message). The protocols urged people to be responsible in terms of their drinking and play. People who tended to drink more were generally there only for the socialising and didn't play, or if they did, they played early and then drank. There was also plenty of food available. Fairly early on in the group's establishment there was occasion to ban someone for breaches of drugs/alcohol resulting in irresponsible and intolerable behaviour and that seemed to serve as a pretty effective warning. I wouldn't have been happy with someone leaving Our party if I didn't think they were safe to drive (and that includes spacy subbies as well as alcohol intake), and We had crash overnight facilities available. It wasn't a problem and I felt that was a responsible way to handle the situation.

becca333 -> RE: Neutered states. (8/13/2007 12:19:58 AM)

I wouldn't - mainly because I tend to go to sleep after a drink or two.  And that means I'd miss out on a lot of fun.

And I don't fancy playing with a Dom who's drunk or drugged - I want someone in control who's totally focussed.  That way I can really let go and have fun.

Neala -> RE: Neutered states. (8/13/2007 2:45:18 AM)

Ya know what's fun?!

Wine enemas.

I have always found the enjoyment of play to come from revelling in the physical sensations....why dull the senses with drugs?

To Me...it is a waste.

having an orgasm while stoned definately isnt dulled.......its....well....delicious....

Amen to that!

So... I'll go against the general trend and admit that I'm happy to play under the influence and with my partner under the influence. Having said that... it is with my partner, not just random play. Also, you know your limits with your drug of choice, the same way you know your limits with how you play... too far gone... you don't play.

I find playing under the influence to be a wonderful way to enhance all those lovely floaty feelings that we're trying to achieve through wiitwd... drugs are by and large mood enhancers so it makes sense really... plus you feel ultra-connected to your partner... no problems with communication as far as I can see.

I am impressed with all the people (not just you yrstoccollar) who have posted that they know their limits while playing under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Considering that one of the prime attributes of using said items is an impairment of judgement. Impressive that all of you are the exceptions to this rule. I'll bet you all know just how much you can drink and drive safely too.

Namaste, Sir Dominic

InnocentYoungSub -> RE: Altered states. (8/13/2007 7:10:25 AM)

I would absolutely LOVE to engage in play whilst I was tripping. That could be quite the expeirence.

Yes because all drugs and alcohol affect all people in the exact same manner. Every person on Earth who gets stoned acts just like Jeff Spicoli while high. You've got it all figured out.
