Susan when I joined it was just to take a lookie at the site, I ended up staying and was stuck with cjenny. Not a bad nick but just not 'me'. I never liked the name Jennifer lol, so I am using my middle name now.
I wish I had used cj as my new nick cuz that is the first nickname I've ever had and a lot here called me that, but camille is nice sounding.
Since I knew there would be confusion I added my old nick into my sig line and have kept up the cjenny profile stating that I switched nicks to camille.

~Seeks maybe if you start signing your posts by that nick it will carry over? I call ya that!

He said someone else already had the nik he wanted, so he was stuck taking Focus50. Whoever has the nik he wanted (I just checked) is some darn Canadian who hasn't logged in since 05 lol.

50, 80, 207, I still think Focus is coolie!!

OOo and yes, Camile is one of the ones I meant earlier that I saw that posted former nic at end of postings to avoid confusion or paranoia/accusations from those thinking on may be trying to disguise her/himself.

camille65: That's a very good solution to any potential confusion. I think SimplyMichael may have done that as well (can't recall, right now. His previous nic was CrappyDom). I like the name camille, btw (not that it matters - it's your nic).

came4u: Then he could probably use it and nobody would be the wiser. If the system doesn't prohibit it (and it doesnt sound like it does).

I actually picked SusanofO because of the book "Story fo O", plus I am from Omaha, so it seemed to kind of fit. I ammleaving it alone for now, but it crossed my mind I was kind of bored with it - *but I especially wondered who else got bored with, or wanted to ever change their nic (and what they'd call themselves instead).

This must be a phase with me - last week, I was considering re-naming my dog (Rufus). I just decided I didn't like that name anymore. But I don't want Rufus to have a potential identity crisis, so I am leaving it alone.

InnocentYoungSub: Well, "innocence" is a relative term. The truly "innocent" do not frequent CM at all, as a rule, I'd think, hehe. But - I'll hand to it to you as far as having a descriptor in there...(and I am only teasing you).

=P I am too innocent...mostly. lol But really you'd be surprised as to just how innocent I am. Perhaps a domme will corrupt me? I can dream.

InnocentYoungSub: I can believe you are (perhaps) "BDSM innocent" - so okay w/the nic, hehe.

I have to log off for awhile (I have things I have to get done early this morning) but I shall return. I am not purposely abandoning this thread. I still think it's a fun thing for creative purposes, to think of what your nice might be if it wasn't what it is now. I will pop in again later.

I very much appreciate all of the replies so far (and any future ones, too).

InnocentYoungSub: Well, that probably won't last long around here.. Good luck and have fun!

came4u:Yeah, he could do that, I think. I'll trust what you have to say about it. I am kind of ignorant about how the software works around here. Sopmeone had to give me detailed step-by-step instructions, and hold my hand through it all, when I changed my avatar last year  - (I changed it because so many people apparently thought I actually was Liv Tyler. Yeah - I wish. So now I am Audrey Hepburn, instead, LOL. I couldn't help it if those were the only two avatars that truly appealed to me a lot. it's nice there's a variety, though).

I have changed my Nic here. Just after a friend tied me to a St Andrews and beat me with several empliments I joined as "beenwhipped" and at the time the name fit me well. through my jeourney I came to realize that I enjoyed swinging the whip as much as I liked to be hit by it. I began to think that the name did not fit me anymore, and then for personal reasons I took a hiatus from CM and the internet in general. About 2 months later when I returned, I created a new account with my scene name and deleted the "beenwhipped" account.

Do I wish I had never used beenwhipped? No, It fit me at the time and I learned alot here under that name. my one regret is my whipme@...... email.

You aren't ignorant about it.  I wouldn't have known unless my stalker created 4 nics, and when he realized he was being an ass he stupidly he removed them in a huff to return with the same nik, after a while, after one of his fits, I TOOK the names he used to bug me with lol. Now I am stuck with 4 godawful deactivated man niks that I never use.  He learned his lesson, and he hasn't figured out now why he can't get those names or why the passwords don't work.  pathetic.

most who know me use the shortened version anyway; even the one's abusing me.... lol

A change is a as good as a holiday, the saying goes.... But I'm reluctant to change my actual identity for the sake of change.

Focus.

lol, but Focus, if you changed your name, how would they know where to direct their abuse? you could start another personality entirely!

I have a couple nicks that I don't use, ready in the wings, and may eventually use one of them when I drop this one.

I'm not going to change my name, but if I did, maybe I'd go with Gurn Blanston.
