I'm not sure in what context you are speaking to : Total private donations from the whole world or private donations from US citezens alone?
To say that tax-payer-funded US Goverment aid to the Jewish state pales in comparison to similar, privately funded aid, is factually inacurate.

I think what's even more troubling and something most people don't realize, is that we are actually BORROWING money--and paying interest-- from other nation-states, thus deepening the hole of this country's indebtedness just for the sake of lending/giving to Isreal.
I think that's part of Ron Paul's message. He's saying : '' Hey look over here - Our government has aided each Isreali citizen the monetary equilvlent of 23.25k anually, but our own infrastructure is falling apart and our children can't afford to go to college.
Looks to me like Ron Paul is clearly the candidate that would best support the average citizen.
