camille65 -> Another pubic hair question (8/17/2007 9:05:25 AM)

Okay I need some help. Shaving or waxing is out of the question right now so I really need some tips here. I'm going to see my dom next week so here it is:

The problem is (holycow this is embarrassing!!) that my pubic hair is very very straight and weirdly coarse. Is there a way to soften the hair itself after I trim trim trim? To keep it soft? I have extremely sensitive skin [&:] .
Oy vey I feel stupid asking this, and I am soooo glad that no one can see my face hahaha cuz I'm probably blushing beet red.

UR2Badored -> RE: Another pubic hair question (8/17/2007 9:20:10 AM)

Awweee, I dont have an answer for you......but I did not want you to be beet red alone.

Good question......I want to know the answer too.....[;)]

If you have extremely sensitve skin as I do........Keep some benadryl caplets handy in case a given solution here gives you  an allergic reaction. (take as directed)

Try regular hair conditoner?  (that's my best guess)

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: Another pubic hair question (8/17/2007 9:24:15 AM)

I'd just say don't worry about it.  Really not a big deal in the overall picture.

cumulus -> RE: Another pubic hair question (8/17/2007 10:58:14 AM)

If you can't shave or wax, then perhaps a depilatory cream of some kind would suffice.

SunNMoon -> RE: Another pubic hair question (8/17/2007 10:59:32 AM)

Trim but not too short. Also hair conditioner (one that you leave on for a few minutes), a deep conditioner works. Also baby oil, if you can have it on your skin. Test everything. Also try trimming when your dry.

BoundDragon -> RE: Another pubic hair question (8/17/2007 11:53:53 AM)

I use a good moisturising hair conditioner... do you get the Aussie range over there?? I highly recommend it for two reasons:

1- You hair feels softer and smoother
2- It seems not to snag in lace underwear giving you a major ouch cos its so silky too.

Lol... now I'm blushing too.

Constanza -> RE: Another pubic hair question (8/17/2007 1:18:04 PM)

Best way to keep it soft is baby shampoo. Also great for a sensitive skin :)

Mikal -> RE: Another pubic hair question (8/17/2007 2:54:27 PM)

If you can handle the pain, you could try plucking... it doesn't (or doesn't have to) hurt that bad - just take your time, and don't pull against the hair like you do when waxing.

If your determined to keep your hair, here's a few tips from a family member [:)]:

1. Use alkaline-based products to soften the hair shaft, such as a shampoo without proteins, balsam, or body-building ingredients. Breck and Prell are good, if you can get them.

2. Wash your pubes hair with very warm water. The hotter the better.

3. Use a simple crème rinse (not a conditioner) with few ingredients. Add your crème rinse to hot water & use a lot of it... saturation is your friend. Keep it on for at least 15 mins.

4. Rinse with warm water.

5. Use a towel to gently pat dry. Don’t rub! You don’t want to create friction that will roughen up the shaft.

6. After you’ve dried, rub a little facial moisturizer onto your palms/fingers and run them over your pube hair.

Do this every other day or so, and in a weeks time you should notice a nice soft difference. So sayeth Cousin It.

Good luck
[:D]

edited for typos and funky sizing

Baby oil and hair conditioner definitely work.  I tend toward the baby oil though.  I too am sensitive and this works well.  Also tends to get more curls this way.  I would not trim - shorter might be more bristly.  You could try coco butter - check in the section for african american hair products- great coco butter and other moisturizing type products.

You didn't mention why shaving or waxing were not possibilities. Shaving always irritates my skin, so with some trepidation I made an appointment and went for a Sphynx wax. This gives me lots of time to chicken out, because the nearest salon doing such is an hour's drive away. But I went. The people running the place were very professional and handled me as a totally non-sexual object. They got a rhythym going, and were kind of patting/slapping the area after each pull, which took the sting out very well.

I've found over time that if you keep the waxing up, repeat visits hurt less and I'm thinking the hair follicles get scared enough that they do not grow back - less of them show up anyway - and what does grow in is very silky and fine, a very different texture than what I had before.

It was ABSOLUTELY worth it to disrobe for my Lady when I got home and see the look on her face!

Thanks all my hairy and non hairy CM friends/supporters!

UR2Badored thanks for the support and the giggle [8D].

LotusSong, BoundDragon, Constanza & SunNMoon, ocilla (thanks oc, for the black HBA tip!)  yup I went and got a 'leave in' conditioner, so far so good. Slight itching from it but not unbearable! I'm going to switch brands to something unscented today.

LA, LA LA LA. Hehehe. I know it is not a major thingie but for some reason I do worry about this. Maybe it is easier to worry about pubic hair than it is about a tummy pooch?? HA!

cumulus most unfortunately I cannot find one my skin doesn't react to. Argh.

Mikal plucking eh? Come'ere and lemme pluck a penguin feather....... [:D]. Seriously tho, if I had time for my skin to recover that would be a possibility IF I could find someone to help. (Hey Mary, wanna come over for tea and plucking??)

Rumtiger uhhuh! See? It is important! [:D]

Drifa last but not least hehe. 2 reasons, I can't afford a salon right now and my skin will need recovery time. Okay 3 reasons the third being GULP I ain't nevah spread 'em at a salon before! Color me chicken uhhuh. Shaving my pubic area is just begging for a skin rash [&:] that lasts much longer than the shave itself. Yuppers I've used cootchie cream and other assorted 'made for there' things.

edit cuz it is early.

BTW......I hope you enjoy your time with your DOM

Peace and Harmony,
urs

MHOO314 -> RE: Another pubic hair question (8/18/2007 1:45:13 PM)

Just like you soften the hair on your head, a good shampoo amd a good conditioner--they will not harm that area, also try a good skin softening cream----good luck!

instynctive -> RE: Another pubic hair question (8/18/2007 2:14:57 PM)

Even after trimming/shaving, I will shampoo My entire nether region.. keeps it nice and soft.

BossyShoeBitch -> RE: Another pubic hair question (8/18/2007 3:17:47 PM)

The first couple of times I had a brazillian wax done were at a salon.  I watched very closely. $50 each time.
Then I went to the beauty supply shop and bought all the stuff myself for about $50-$60. (wax warmer, wax, sticks, creams, etc)  and have saved myself about $600 over the course of a year!

Yeah, doing it yourself fucking hurts!  But if the members of this website can't take a bit of pain....[image]http://www.collarchat.com/micons/m11.gif[/image]

I bought a sugaring kit (almost the same thing as a waxing kit) & tried it out... works wonderfully on the legs, BUT I can't do my own underarms (hurts like an S.O.B too... an NO HAIR GETS REMOVED [sm=river.gif]). As for the pubes, the mons is fine, most of the majora are fine, but not all of it. I need at least a third hand [&:]. So, if you have any amound of love or caring for another human being inside you, PUHLEEEZZZZ tell me how you get completely bare. I and my neither regions will adore you for it. [:D]

Constanza -> RE: Another pubic hair question (8/18/2007 3:50:11 PM)

My Master likes to shave me and he decides when he does that.

kc692 -> RE: Another pubic hair question (8/18/2007 4:26:54 PM)

Don't trim the day you see him...after a trim the hair is more "spiky" feeling.  I will also add, that on a personal note for both me and one of my subs, shaving was an intense irritant.  Then I found a shaver called Intuition.  It has a conditioning head FILLED with a conditioner that feels like hair conditioner going on, and totally surrounds the shaver.  It's only good for a couple of times, (one side of the conditioner wears down before the other, something about the angle used probably, lol) but it DOES work, and is the ONLY one in almost 50 years I have found.  If you do continue to trim, definitely use hair conditioner, but again, don't trim the same day.  The conditioner after a day will have a chance to tame the sharp ends.
