quote:
ORIGINAL: michaelOfGeorgia what really gets me is, dispite those that originally create a thread and misspell the topic, so many out there just let the misspelling go on. Yes, that's certainly a horrible tragedy. quote:
i've tried to go around and correct the misspellings as best i can, but then others continue to respond to the thread (skipping over my post with the correct spelling) and allow the typoed topic to go on. what does this say about those who pride themselves in spelling or whatever? It says that they're not the spelling police. quote:
maybe i care more about others than most. Maybe you're just a hypocrite or trying to give yourself a little self-esteem boost by pointing out where someone else made an incredibly trivial mistake. With the number of spelling, grammar and typing errors in your own posts, perhaps you should just focus on your own mistakes for a while. Then, once you can manage to make it through a day without mangling the English language, you can direct your newfound spelling prowess upon the teeming illiterate masses. ~stef
