I love the silly and clever names given to nail polish--particularly, OPI and Revlon.

What is the name of your favorite nail polish color?   (past and present)
http://www.ollieninh.com/npopicolornames01.html

In the 90's, I loved Cherries in the Snow by Revlon--still do.
Now, I am wearing Revlon's Love You Madly on my toes and removed OPI's International Dateline earlier today.

In general, I like reds and dark muted pinks.......what say you?

Edited to add:  I general go without polish on my fingers for various reasons.

On my fingers, I usually just wear clear polish.  Today, though, my fingernails are fuschia.  I can't remember the brand or name.

On my toes, I am fiercely loyal to Sally Hansen's Beyond Perfect in Red Awakening.  If I ever run out of that, L'Oreal's Vintage Red is my backup.

red red red... and sometimes, to vary things up a bit...

I wear red.

So... my favorites are:
winter: I'm not really a waitress red - OPI
around Christmas - Red Ribbons Red - OPI
During the summer: Peruby ruby red - OPI
A new one I recently tried and liked - Power of Red - china glaze
And OPI has a brand new red out that I really love but can't remember the name of.

The reds have to be red with a touch of blue to them - no reds with yellow and orange in them and no burgundies. Just nice deep red.

In addition, if I ever take the plunge, there are new back-fill acrylics that have color and glitter already built in. And yes, there's a red glitter that if I have the money, I'm thinking about doing around Christmas time. But while I "NEED" to get my nails done, that's not a frill I'm willing to spend a lot of money on when I'm worried about funding christmas. So, we'll see.

I am totally into variety and rarely get exactly the same color twice.  I like almost all shades of red, coral, peach, and pink for my fingernails.  I don't pay attention to the name, just select a color I like.  Most often, I get OPI or China Glaze, as those are the brands my salon carries.  I work in an ultra-conservative environment and often interact with senior level managers and VP's, etc., so I pick fairly conservative fingernail colors.

For my toenails, I can be a bit more daring (and make sure to wear closed-toe shoes to work).  I have worn shades such as turquose, jade green, bright purple, royal blue, etc. on my toes.  Sometimes I wear the same color on my toes as on my fingers, and other times I get something more outrageous.

* Grins * Yeah I liked that name, too.  I saw one called "Friar, Friar, Pants on Fire!" which was hilarious, but way too orange.

Gardening Tip:  If you are prone to doing alot of summer and spring gardening or if you just do odd jobs and crafts that reap havoc on your nails, try soaking your nails afterwards in warm water with denture cleaning tablets.  You can clutch the fizzing tabs with your nails while immersed in the warm water and after they dry, your nails (at least mine do) appear whiter.  I have used name brand and generics with great results.

I meant to add this to my initial post.

Edited to add:  You should soak them while/as the tabs are fizzing which should only about a minute or so.
