goodness, if we're going to admit to being geeks...

I collect comics(DC), science text books (the older and more outdated, the more amusing), and books on the inner workings/history of hollywood.

People read titles off my bookshelves and it's a little random. I've got The Long Halloween next to Gray's Anatomy and the Anatomy Coloring book, followed by a biography of James Whale... it goes on like that. And there are books EVERYWHERE... under the beds, in all the cabinets/closets, stacked on tables...

Oh my...this is a touchy subject around my house! My husband is going insane with all the things I collect....but I'm getting better, I swear, LOL!

Antique Vintage Jewelry is my worst addiction, I've got 10 shelves of boxes full of it

China from all over and 3 cabinets full

Elephants of all kinds

Rocks of all kinds and shapes...I make hanging pendents out of them( that's how I got started with the vintage jewelry, I tore them apart for peices for the rock pendents...then I learned how valuable the jewelry was and I'm still ill over what I destroyed,LOL)

Clocks of all ages and sizes

oil paintings from all ages

Cats ( I'm not kidding)

Coats( it's a fetish)

I'll stop there...it could go on forever...that's why it's a touchy subject

I'm going to get off the subject a little here, but this is a really funny story about a giant stuff tiger....
My daughter won a giant stuff tiger at the fair, and by the time we started for home it was dark. We had the van, and the back seat was pulled out into a bed, and she and the tiger were sitting up on the bed with the light on. Well, while I was driving, I started to smell something burning and I thought it was the motor or something and I was sniffing and looking around....and then I noticed smoke coming from the top of the tiger's head, and it was right up against the light. We saved the tiger,LOL, and she still has it today(10 years later) and she named it "Flame"

i'm addicted to reading and collect books from many different genres so i can identify completely, wednesday! Mine are ordered but it takes people a while to figure out the system because it's so far from typical. i know where everything is. :) In my case Gray's Anatomy is flanked by Touching Spirit Bear and The Book of Holistic Pet Health Care. lol

i've collected LEGO for many years now, and it's never enough. LEGO, Weapon of Mass Construction. Once heard of an IT professional who was good enough at his job to request a LEGO desk during an interview and get it as part of the contract! Something to aspire to.

We inherited Cairn Studio gnomes from toy's mother. I put some on EBay and then I started doing a little buying and selling and then I got hooked. I have the bug and I've got it bad, lol. I've got gnomes everywhere, in the curio cabinet, on tables, on my desk *sigh*

Ummm...lessee. Really nice paintings of prehistoric pottery done by a local artist. That's about it, except for the buildup of car and motorcycle magazines. I don't mean to collect them, but just can't bring myself to throw them away. Scientific Americans, too.

Hmmm..

Anything related to the Beach Boys, surfing, or 1960's pop culture memorabilia. I am absolutely in love with finding really rare songs, albums, etc., and things of the like. I am also a huge Brian Wilson fan and I love collecting music. So the things I collect are now mostly in my brain and not physical things.
