So, I've got an idea of what you want men to smell like... Now, how about the ladies?

Me, I have this thing for ... of all things... CK one on a woman. It's not very flowery, which is a plus given that florals tend to just grate on my nerves. It also reminds me of going out when it was released - pretty much everyone was wearing it and it smelled damn good on semi-sweaty girls...

I am not going to vote but I will comment. For me I love Candies and I tend to get a lot of compliments on it. I also like Moonlight Path and Sweet Pea from Bath and Body works.

Angel by Thierry Mugler

after that, vanilla fields (which i can only find in the states)

National geographic once had a feature on the scents of histroically famous people, and even had samples of what fragrences they wore.

The stuff Cleopatra wore was apparently scented with honey, some kind of citrus and jasmine or something like that, I dont remember, but they had samples in the magazine of what it would have smelled like.

Ever since smelliing that when I was about 15, any actual fragrance any woman I've known puts on themselves smells like either cheap soap or spicy shit in comparison.

I like Passion Fruit Body Spray from The Body Shop, and their vite E body butter mixed with their Passion Fruit Body Butter.
And Swisa Beauty  Bliss Body Butter. Mmmmm....
All natural... add some of my phermones, Shazaaam.

(I think Cleo would agree)

I've worn a ffew different scents, but two have had males stopping me on the street to ask what scent I'm wearing.

The first is a mix of Este lauder's Beyond paradise and Ralf Lauren's Romance.  The two softly mixed together is pure heaven. Clean citris with light flowers Jasmine and orchid.

The next is an oil, it's Nag Champa, which I can find hard to get ahold of , when I wore this I actually had a man in my hair cutting chair who kept leaning into my wrist and neck area just to sniff sniff...

I also just adore the scent of clean old baby oil on my skin it's pure and simple.

Calvin Kleins - Obsession for women.  It's not overly perfume-ish or flowery and i almost always get a great reaction from men when i'm wearing it.

i much prefer scents like that, that are more spices then florals.

Not meaning to hijack, but anyone read the book or see the movie Perfume?  Now that was one scent obsessed guy.

Ever been to a Renaissance fair? I love how I smell at the end of a day there, fresh from being outside yeet perfumed with all the oils they have burning at every other stall...mmm !

SDFemDom4cuck -> RE: Scent of a Woman (8/21/2007 12:20:44 AM)

I think I answered in part on the Male Scent thread but I'll expand on it. My skin is very sensitive so I have to be very careful about what I wear. Obsession and Chanel are the only two scents I can wear at all. Obsession tends to get even better once my skin has warmed up.

Last year I learned something very interesting however. I scent my lingerie with vanilla extract on cotton balls. One night while dressing to go out one of those cotton balls was entangled in the lingerie of choice. I was unusually popular that evening and kept having the odd sensation of people "sniffing" me. Finally a young man that had been hovering nearby asked if he could hug me. As he nuzzled into my neck and inhaled deeply he said that I smelled just like home baked cookies.*Ooookay*

I didn't discover why until later that night as I was undressing and the cotton ball popped out. Now, every so often, I'll still tuck a little vanilla cotton ball somewhere on me and it always has the same effect. LOL Everybody loves cookies.

PS...Women don't sweat, we "glisten".

I just saw that a couple weeks ago. It was a great movie. Yes, quite an obsession.

Wow, who bit you?

Here I was, apppreciating what you said about what Cleo would like: all natural, not overpowering. It inspired me to share mine, which smells fresh, alluring, and not one bit fake. Over ripe? Sorry, not my style, however; fresh, slightly citrusy, and all smooth after massaging it in, would have been right up Her alley. Don't knock it till you tried it!

I really can't wear perfume because most of the time it is a migraine trigger for me.  I like to wear very light lotions from Bath and Body Works.  My favorite was SeaSpray but they discontinued it a few years back :-(.

SD, I am definitely going to try that vanilla cottonball!!

CrazyC -> RE: Scent of a Woman (8/21/2007 5:00:15 AM)

Oh let's just say i'll give even an ugly guy i second look if they smell well.

I completely agree with obsession! It smells better as one warms up. My budget just doesn't let me wear it.

I love rose oil mixed with other things the most.

yes, yes and yes.  You wanna see the red side of me, wear some kind of stinkum around me.

Vanilla is good, anise, cinnamon----ginger or borage extract as well.

Ron

Aileen68 -> RE: Scent of a Woman (8/21/2007 5:07:53 AM)

I've worn Coco Chanel for about eighteen years now.  It's the only perfume I ever buy.  Can you tell that I love it?
