Well I've made what I would call a final attempt at communicating with her and finding out why we haven't been talking much but I've received no response. (I sent my message over 5 days ago)

By now I've "moved on" and if she'd like to talk to me I wouldn't mind it at all, but I am finished expending effort on a relationship that it seems the other person is not working on at all. I've had a revelation of sorts that helped me arrive to this conclusion, and I am glad that I've had it. Before I did, i was having difficulty enjoying even the simple pleasures in life, but now that I have I feel much more like my normal self.

Good for you.  I'm glad you moved on.  Unfortunately, this happens a lot on here, on both sides.  It's happen to me so many times I've lost count.  I know it's hard, but always remember, when they flake, if you must, send ONE email of inquiry.  After that if you hear nothing, move on....never beg.  Don't let the time wasters take everything from you.   Some people feed off of hurting others, and get off on the begging and pleading of someone wanting a response.

I know it's hard, when someone says all the right things, even talks of "love" at just the right time...then flakes.  Then you beg for any kind of word from them just to know if they are alive are not.  Cause there must be something seriously wrong, I mean they love me right?   so nothing this side of an act of God could keep them from at least sending a text right?

You mentioned you wouldn't mind talking to her again if she contacted you.   Only you can gauge the situation...but from my experience, if they flaked once, they will again.  I wasted a good year of my life with a flake....never again.   They "might" get one more chance..."might" if they come with a good excuse, but after that, I"m done...I obviously wasn't special enough to be in their life, so I"m not going to be filler for when they are bored.

Good luck to you, and I hope you find the relationship that you are looking for.  Stop by and say hello any time.

You seem like a nice guy, from what you've posted and your profile, so don't take this too harshly...

You've been dropped. It was shitty, and, unless there's more to the story, undeservedly so. But it happens. Take a little time, reflect on what you've known, and get back on the horse.

I'll steal/paraphrase from quite a few sig lines and offer one piece of advice: Don't make someone a priority when you're only an option. You're a sub, but you still deserve better than what you got from this experience.

Best of luck.

amen.   Just going through this myself....I'm officially done!
