BossyLadyPamela -> RE: Money from the start? What are they thinking? (9/3/2007 6:58:31 AM)

one more thing slightly off topic........  I love Jerry Springer --the man...  I know someone who knows him....he is a man full of all the wonders that we all would love as a friend....  he is funny and giving this person says.. you can tell if you listen to him when he is off his stick.. He just had a radio show on talk America and what a interesting  and good human spirit man....

I often wondered how it must of been to be in his inner circle of friends as the first seasons changed from a serious talk show format to that Jerry Springer cult we all know..    imagine sitting there as serious people..watching the bank roll, making all that were involved RICH...........   the strangeness of where that show went...  just imagine the money as they all sat a 4 fork dinner and talked about what the show  had become...  simply amazing..  I wish I could of been a part of it to cash in and enjoy the good times of it all...

The guests, if real, were scary.....

I cant imagine anyone ever afriad of me..  but I have seen it...  when I have lightly described the edge of what I like...  the edge ...   I have seen stuffy people ... think oh, she must be a sicko...  I always want to say..... "if you pee in your husbands mouth just right you may fix your marriage".. wink wink...  .....

I have no real problems with dommes who demand money up front. My problem is dommes that demand money up front and take offence at being called a prostitute.

Politesub, your name fits you so well!

Matt: Almost all pro dommes do NOT have sex with their clients. Many lifestyle dommes don't either. There is a lot to learn here, and some good people to help teach you.

You're welcome Polite Sub!

Maya2001 -> RE: Money from the start? What are they thinking? (9/3/2007 12:13:02 PM)

No offense meant to the pros  I am just giving my thoughts as a newer sub that has came online here,

When I signed up and checked out the site I noted in the forums there was a section for professionals services, if that is what I was searching for , that is where I would have turned to do seek out a  Dom for training.
But I am not , I am a sub that currently has a dom and looking to meet friends to chat with, which is stated in my profile.  Personally I found it a bit offensive to one day check my email to find a message from a dom trying to sell his services to me , on a number of levels. the first and foremost being .... why would a pro Dom of supposably 20 years experience contact a sub that indicates she is collared  to another Dom, and direct her to his website to  try to sell services to her specifically ?  to me just very bad taste and lack of professionalism.   Heck about 90% of my emails are from  gameplayers just looking for kinky sex that I have come to expect,  but really do not want to also be spammed by those selling services as well  which I am not interested  in as I said this is just my POV

Further thoughts that would help keep this topic from continuing to arise....

Maybe the profiles should include an option to check off  for those that may consider paying for service , that way neither persons time is wasted  and it may not be viewed as possibly offensive as it would allow interested parties to be connected and pros would know who is not interested as well so can avoid.

I have been hearing that there are fake "Dommes" on here and that is all they want. That they have nothing to do with the lifestyle. I feel that it is starting to give this website a bad rep. and that it is affecting Me as a Mistress as well.
What do you think?
Can anything be done, except for staying real?

From the vantage point of many dominant Women, there's far less authenticity in the countless masses of would be "slaves" who fill their inbox on a daily basis—a great portion of which never bother to read a simple profile. We are busy Woman, and our time is valuable. Many Mistresses have come to the conclusion that if a man wants their time, that man will need to put his money where his mouth is, and that's that. Paying for time to speak with a Mistress isn't a guarantee that a man will ever get any further than talking with Her, unless She sees something in him worth looking deeper into. For many Mistresses, this is a way of keeping things real and on track.

If you send a "domme" a Paypal, chances are you're going to get fucked (over).

matt4u -> RE: Money from the start? What are they thinking? (9/4/2007 6:37:43 AM)

Well now, by law I guess you can walk the tightrope and say that sex is not occuring and you would be correct. Dommes are selling something very sexual in nature however. They are fullfilling a subs fantasy, his fetish. This sub may not be allowed to get off while with you but he damn well is thinking those thoughts. To say its not sexual is simply nieve. Having a guy pay you to kiss your feet or to whip his ass or whatever is still having a guy pay you for some physical interation and though it may not be sex how the vanilla person would define it it probably is sex in the way the sub who gets off on being whipped defines it. So you are in fact selling sex to a sub.
Now I have no problems with that at all. I could care less. Hell, I dont think prostitution should be illegal at all anyways. But dont think your on some high and mighty horse here. If your a pro domme you are a prostitute. Your clients simply get off in a different way. I have no problems with that and Im sorry if the word prostitute has your panties in a wad but its simply how I see it.
I personally could never submit to a woman whos sole motivation behind domming me is how much money I can afford per hour. How artificial is that. Talk about topping from the bottom. Her only desire is to collect your green and for some repeat business. She needs to please you to keep you comming back. Tell  her what you want and she does it. How is that being controlled by someone? No dont spank me like that, I like it like this. Actually I want you to please cuff me like this and jump on my tummy 4 times and make me beg you to lick your toes. After I beg for 3 minutes put your big toe in my mouth. If it all goes well Ill see you next week. Oh and while your doing it call me a bitch real loud because I need to feel like your in control here.
But Im off topic here a bit, sorry. Those that give money at the start deserve the kind of screwing they get. Those that can get money from someone at the start have found a sucker and I congradulate them. I suppose its no worse than the salesman that convinces you that you need the flood insurance even though you live in the middle of nevada.

Ok Wow, I just took a look at MistressDolly and take it all back. MistressDolly send me a email and we can discuss how much I can afford to pay per hour. [:)]

TheIronHorse -> RE: Money from the start? What are they thinking? (9/4/2007 7:00:02 AM)

Matt, you've made some good points, one being the fundamental differences between lifestyle and pro domination.

The majority of "money" dommes are short sighted. They'll keep trying to glean that $20 paypal donation from you, all while never offering you anything real.  A real PRO domme. will usually fetch $150 an hour on up.  I've visited professionals before, and going to a pro does serve a purpose.  The fact in either case is that they have to cater to your fetishes in order to keep you coming back.

A cyber "money" domme tries to have it both ways and usually has a low customer (if thats a way to categorize it) retention rate.

I will pay no one for talk time, I have no fear of going to a professional dominatrix should I choose to.

I personally think this is what separates the run of the mill submissive wannabes with the more serious type of submissive. You mention that you are busy women and your time is valuable. I, too, believe my time is equally valuable, and yes, my life is pretty busy as well. I think it has more to do with self-respect for submissives than anything else. There are so many that are so willing to hump any leg that comes close that they see their time as less useful than a woman's time.

This is why I rarely, if ever, contact a woman unless I'm pretty sure we're on the same level of what we're seeking. When I do, it's been after a lot of searching and investigating. If she does not respond, then I find that a telling sign that she's not going to be worth any further endeavor on my part (nothing against her, but why keep pursuing something that is unattainable by choice). In my time here, I've probably approached no more than three women on the entire site. I've had a number approach me (please don't take this as some kind of brag, because that's not how it's intended) but I think that's because they, too, have investigated me and felt I was worth pursuing.

orfunboi -> RE: Money from the start? What are they thinking? (9/4/2007 5:04:08 PM)

i have to admit, i have come on to cm and read a profile that said something to the effect of "here is my paypal account, send me money and then i will talk to you and tell you how to sign up to be my online slave" and laughed a bit and thought "get a job sweetie". Of course i still haven't quite figured out what a Mistress could do for me online either, so im sure that doesn't help. But i really don't see the need to create a thread a day bitching about it either. It's not something i am interested in, but i am sure there are guys out there who are. So let them sign up and log on or whatever. If they didn't have a customer base, they wouldn't be out there.

Oh for the love of God!  i'm not trying to hit and run, i didn't think this thread was still going.  Okay, originally my friend was worried about me being so active on this site because he had heard it called "the Jerry Springer Show" of BDSM sites.  After an akward convo, here's the link okay?

Evanesce -> RE: Money from the start? What are they thinking? (9/4/2007 8:39:28 PM)

OK.  The only thing I want to know is where are all these submissive men who are willing to hand over their paychecks to the first femdom who comes along.  The last two I met couldn't/wouldn't even spring for a $4 cup of coffee!

MsSonnetMarwood -> RE: Money from the start? What are they thinking? (9/5/2007 4:00:23 AM)

Well, I for one was glad it was a "valid internet resource".   ::shakes head::   If I weren't lazy this morning, I could pull up some threads on here ranting about b.com and alt (I think there's one on alt going on now over in Gen Discussions).  Once again, everyone has their opinions for prefering one site over another, and once again, to them - their own opinion is perfectly valid.

Just curious - what do the people in your local scene actually think?  You ARE involved there, right?

So, now on to the second part of the question that's been asked  by several people and ignored -  what do you suggest is an effective and equitable way to identify and remove both the money dommes and the male wankers (because they are indeed two sides of the same coin)?  How will you prevent them from then returning under other names?  How will the hours needed to weed out these undesirables be funded since this is a free site?

Be a part of the solution, rather than doing a "hit and run bitch about it" like the OP and disappear when asked to follow up on your posts.
