I liked this from Sundowner, it made good sense to me.

if I were to enter into a relationship with a Dom,
I'd let him know straight away that not many years ago,  
my jaw was badly shattered,
so IF He slaps me ... chances are good he'll break it again.
( I can't imagine that a Dom would ever want to seriously damage his sub )

i love face slapping!!.. i do have tmj on the left side of my jaw so its almost aways on the right side of my face..i am a pile of mushiness!!... i rember asking friends to slap me.. and then telling them it wasn't hard enough....

Me too on the TMJ. The left jaw joint is missing 80% of the cartilage, if someone (any one) slapped my face it would end up causing physical damage far beyond a red mark.
My entire jaw is fragile, I cannot even open more than 14mm which means that giving head is an impossibility. That totally sucks (ha) because its something I love to do but literally can't do.

Don't slap me or even grab my jaw area unless you want to be paying for reconstruction and physical therapy.

When it comes down to it it seems like there are many more people that absolutely hate face slapping versus those who enjoy it. My personal thoughts about face slapping: When its in a strictly sexual context, or otherwise negotiated as part of a scene, it's done correctly and not hard enough to do any damage, and it's my Master doing it it's something that absolutely turns me on and I love it.
It's something we started playing with super recently (and we've been together 4 months now), after I had made it very clear that it was not a limit and in fact was something that I've played with before and enjoyed. I think the big thing is that I always know that he would NEVER raise a hand to me in anger, that it's always done in an enjoyable context. I think if being slapped in the face was being used as a form of punishment that would begin to cross the line into being abuse. But yeah, so in particular context and with a partner I trust I love it :)

seriously HARD limit for me, brings back flashbacks of my ex husband beating the hell out of me so thats one thing that i won't/can't tollerate if you do it your more than likely going to get punched back
