Anything in the dungeon can send you to the emergency room if used incorrectly. Anything! We should not suffer the false sense of security that this is "just a little bondage" but that is "the deadly bullwhip." I've never cracked a singletail in a way as to cause an emergency room visit, but I can imagine how one could. I've broken the skin with a singletail made for that purpose, but that was certainly not deep enough for stitches. I think repeated whipping on the same surface with a long whip could eventually rend some damage, but it seems like a longshot. My concern would be more about the whipper not being experienced enough to know where the whip will land on the whippee (or themselves), and accidentally whipping someone, say, in the eye! This seems improbable, but possible. The parts I would be most worried about in a whipping from behind would be: *neck *spine *kidneys If the whipper begins slowly and gains momentum as they feel more in control of the whip, if the whippee has their most crucial parts covered (face to the wall, hands guarding the back of the neck), It seems very improbably indeed. Those kidneys are tougher to injure than we think. -Miss Violette [MissVioletteThorngate.com]
