I was curious to know what type of pet do people on this site have? I have a maine coon cat. She's a big girl and she is only 1.5 years old. If she gets any bigger, she will need her own room.

I have a black/grey tiger stripe tabby that's not quite a year.. named him Tigger.. and he has big paws.. then there's the orange tabby Chazo and his sister Macy who's a black n orange tabby and they are kinda weird due to kids who had them before cutting off their wiskers

and then there's Freckles the dalmation. she's 7 i think.. might be older.. and lazy

I have a three year old Beagle. She's the dominant one. Has me tied around her front paw.

I have a female Border Collie, the standard black N' white, and she will be Ten this October.
Also have 4-year-old male Tabby cat.

I currently have 3 cats: Sir Isaac Newton (Persian & American longhair mix), Baruch Spinoza (typical orange shorthair mix) and Egg (tortoise shell Burmese mix). All totally random ages (all strays), Egg is the oldest (the vet guesses 7yo) Spinoza was about 6mo when I found him.

I had occasional shared custody of a rooster that my neighbor had living in his back yard that would often escape into mine - until he sold it not long ago.

I don't have a dog because my yard isn't really large enough for the dog I want. The last one I owned was a shiba inu named Tsunetomo Yamamoto, "momo" for short. Left him with my ex-GF in MN.

Two part Maine Coons here, male and a female - Genghis Khan and Ishtar. Great characters and I love that they chirrup/'talk' instead of miaow, who also have a preference for freshly running cold water. They're half brother/sister and will be fourteen years old this coming December/January and yet still look and behave as if they were very young cats.

2 x domestic short hair of the grey/black tabby persuasion: male, Shostakovitch, about 12 y.o.; Jezebel, about 5 years old; 1 x dog, purebred Akita Inu, Dante, about 10 y.o. who i had to leave behind with the ex when i moved. i miss my puppy

We have 4 cats ( 2 dsh-one is orange the other grey tabby) a siamese-something mix and a ragdoll. 2 dogs; a border collie/shephard mix and our newest girl is a boxer/staffordshire, as well as a dwarf bunnie. All of our pets are rescues, we moved out to the country and we seem to have collected a small farm of domestic pets.

not to mention the friendly fox I leave food for in our back yard.

Their respective names are: (in order of being mentioned) Puffy, Angel, Mouse and Otho's for the cats. Akasha, Millie and Mr. Bunny (I don't really know if it IS a Mr. but I've looked and I can't tell) and of course Benny the fox

My kitty is a long haired tuxedo cat who just turned 20!! And the dog is a Rhodesian Ridgeback mix (unknown hound and some shepard) who is about 11 years old. Both sleep with me every night... sometimes under the covers with me if it is cold out hehe. Yayyyy for furry beings full of love

KMsAngel, I've often wondered about Akita Inus, what is their general temperament like as a family pet?

Sorry you miss your pup, it's hard having to give up a pet.

13 yr old female sheltie/border collie named Morgan
8 month old male budgie named Merlin (blue and white)
7 month old female budgie named Fiona (yellow)

As far as dogs go, i have a 10 yr old Sheltie mix, Mitzie Belle [came to us as a pup from down South, after some flooding there] .. also have a 7 yr old Doberman mix, Bud Man [may be mixed with greyhound - he's all legs - like to jump up and put his paws around my neck for 'hugs']. Since my son-in-law passed away a little over a yr ago, we have his 3 yr old black Lab mix, Jingles [named by his, then 7 yr old daughter since they got her at xmas]. We have a 3 family home and they lived on the 1st floor - since he passed away [suddenly] the dog doesn't want to be in the apt more than a few mins .. she did spend months on a chair in my living room, looking out the window as if she was hoping to see him coming home. Since she grew up around my dogs, she and Bud are pretty close .. Mitzie, on the other hand, feels her age makes her the Alpha dog .. and although she's probably 4x Mitzie's size .. Jingles agrees .. I'll find her whining and it will turn out she wants to go into a room and Mitzie is laying in the doorway! We also hve 2 cats [had 4 at one point] .. 2 brothers from a pregnant stray my daughter had brought in the house one winter .. they're 10 now but we have to keep them in separate rooms .. there's a black & white long haired male named Streaky [after Supergirl's cat] and a short haired smooth coated male named Funny Fur [he and his mother had the same fur, the other 4 kitties had long hair]. Streaky is the dominant one .. who wants to rule the roost .. thus the living in separate rooms [housecats only]. By the way, Jingles will also whine if Streaky is in her way .. not very fond of getting her snout smacked apparently.

About 5-8 legs to to her ass, blond hair, green eyes smile...bounty edited to add.With horses dogs and cats it hard to name a favorite,,MS TIFFANY the pom dom or WILLOW my white tiger female...BH

I have two adorable kitties, both Domestic Shorthair. One is a tiny, 5 lb., solid black cat with big gold eyes. The other is an average-sized Siamese mix with a white tuxedo and paws, but the rest of her coloring looks Siamese. Both are just as cute as can be and spoiled rotten.
