Um, Rose... Thompson (assuming you mean the actor Fred) is a Republican. In fact he is the rightwingers' darling right now. I came up Biden, which didn't surprise. If you believe in a 3-state solution for Iraq, he's the only candidate that gets points on that one, which gives him a leg up.
