She probably went through a bondsman, so it cost her around $100. She is going to have to hire a lawyer if she wants to fight this, and that is going to cost her about $1000. If she is lucky, a good lawyer in her town will take this pro bono. What this police officer did was petty and foolish. I could see this as a valid arrest if the girl did it on purpose just out of spite for the police. But she didn't; it was an accident.
