What you need is my patented solution for ensuring your home is spider free; two kittens.

Tess & Pepper have been with me now since the 4th of July, and have provided a simple and effective means of disposing of all manner of creepy crawlies, winged things and so on that have gained access to my home. The average lifespan of any such creature is around 60 seconds from the moment that one or both of them spots it.

However, you should be aware that having two kittens in your home does result in numerous visits of kids, who of course are far more dangerous than anything with lots of legs.

the imp has been trained...there are NO jokes to be made about 8 legged assasins in this household!  i scream, he comes and rescues me.

in return, i allow him to keep the REVOLTING thing one of my friends sent him...its a molt.  of a tarantula.  i cried.  she loves the revolting thing, i told her "love you, dont sent my kid any more pics, he insisted on it being printed out and hung on the wall...."

kitten, who is still shuddering

Nothing works better than blackmail. Tell the kids if they plant anymore spiders to scare you, they will be put on a diet of broccoli and cheese, with plain water to drink, until you feel secure in your house again. This is actually not a bad diet nutritionally, for short term usage, although you may have to deal with the issue of pediatric flatulence. If perchance they like broccoli, just substitute some other disliked vegetable.

Good point. Its probably not healthy for the dog to end up so far down the household pecking order - which will run as follows
1) Cats
2) Kids
3) Spiders
4) You
5) Dog
