proudsub -> better with age (6/24/2004 11:16:16 AM)

As i was changing my age on my profile (today is my 58th birthday), i was thinking about how much better my sexual life has become over the last 5 years or so since i discovered what my submissive nature was all about. Hubby is 61 and still going strong and receptive to new ideas, thank god. Has anyone else out there in the over 50 crowd found that it only gets better? When i was in my 20's and 30's i would never of thought it could be this good at this age.[:D] Thanks to everyone on these boards i am learning new things and new ideas every day.

Dread, I can understand the "hair" thing to a point.

Mine has long dark hair, past his shoulders. I love it! And a goatee, but I don't hink I would go for the hairy chest thing. But.. that's me :)

***who cannot comment on the age/sex thing as she is 36- but thinks sex is WAY better now than in my 20's. Looking forward to it getting better ;)***

Well Glorious Happy Birthday to you, Proud! [:)]

I'm only 41 but I have to agree with you. I've always been fairly aggressive sexually but have found that the sensations themself have changed, intensifying as time goes by.

I've been in a kind of surgically induced menopause for 20 years, though (literally). So mine may not be the typical 41ish story.

iwillserveu -> RE: better with age (6/24/2004 5:52:40 PM)

proudsub,

We definitely get better with age in anything that uses the mind. When I was a teenager I was a better chessplayer tactically than I am now. (Tactics are doing things when things must be done.)

The current me would kick the teen me's ass however. (I do nothing much better than I used to.)

As for sex, the biggest sexual organ is the brain.

I am not sure I agree with that definition of tactics.

Tactics are doing what needs to be done in the short term to accomplish short term objectives. It is bombing the beach front at Normandy to prepare for the invasion against Germany. It is hiring a divorce attorney.

Strategy is the long term objectives. It is deciding to invade Normandy in order to put Germany between two armed forces (Allied and Russian) moving into Germany. It is deciding to avoid being drawn in to petty money squabbles by a raging soon-to-be-ex-spouse who wants everything to contain a lot of sturm and drang, and working out a settlement offer which starts in the middle.

Hey Happy Birthday, proudsub!

It has gotten better with age. I'm not quite over 50 yet, but my husband is.

If I went into detail... well, I'd be bragging.

Proudsub:

Happiness to you each and every day.

I find getting older a problem -- for me, that is. I can't believe I'm as old as I am and still -- in my lascivious mind -- think I am 40.

But life is better now, there is a willingness to explore and to openly say -- Hey, I made a mistake. No more faux timidity, rather, why not!!

cheers to you.

perverseangelic -> RE: better with age (6/24/2004 10:22:45 PM)

Happy birthday!

And sometimes it starts out good too. :) I'm 21, but I don't have any complaints. I can only hope my life keeps going on the same track it's on.

Sundew02 -> RE: better with age (6/24/2004 10:37:08 PM)

Happy birthday proud, And many more exciting ones to come. Yes, I find that I enjoy the freedoms that age has given me. For one, I like knowing that there is more to learn, and I want to see, feel, experience it all. Also the lifting of all the restrictions of my midwest upbringing, without the pressures of my youth to be a "nice" girl. Laughing, keep the possitive view, I am right behind you and enjoy hearing that it will only get better. Tess

proudsub -> RE: better with age (6/25/2004 1:29:19 AM)

Thank you all for the good wishes. Had a very nice day (golf and gambling) even though i lost at the casino.

BlackGoddess -> RE: better with age (6/25/2004 8:57:19 AM)

speaking for my subbie (which I know I can do) who is 45, I know that he is having the time of his life with me both sexual and otherwise. Sometimes I can't keep up with him :)

iwillserveu -> RE: better with age (6/25/2004 2:23:49 PM)

Everything in war is tactical. Maybe mistaken, but eventually at root is tactical. (I.E. the bombing of NAZI Germany had little effect on war production, or so I've heard. In theory you destroy the factory that makes bullets and the soldier on the frontlines runs out of amunition. [Or you destroy the rail line, etc.])

In chess tactics are a clear objective. (I will trade the Bishop for his knight defending the pawn and blocking the file.)

Strategy is a completely different mind set. It is defending the pawn again despite itr not being attacked right now. It is putting a bishop on a long diagonal that is blocked up because someday that will be a good place for the bishop.

Tactics are sacraficing a rook to open lines because the opponent left a weakness that you black squared bishop can use, but you have to clear the way for the queen. (A rook is a big price.) It is weak because he can not get his superior numbewrs back ther in time to prevent major damage.

Strategy is getting the black squared bishop and queen ready for the sac before there even a weekness to exploit. Or "innocently" cutting off the best route for his reinforcement for the area you might sac in.

Oh, these definitions are chess based. "Chess is the most intricate waste of time outside of an advertising agency." - Raymond Chandler

Oh, Chess has as much bearing on real life as any war game based on 2nd century Indian city state armies, but evolved for European courts![:)]

I couldn't agree with you more, even though I'm only recently started on my journey of sexual discovery. Being able to express and explore both my submissive and my bisexual side gives me hopes of a sense of fulfillment and pleasure that I haven't experienced in such a way before. Your post also gives me another encouragement that maturity doesn't mean life stops, it just means that you use the experience you've had so far to make it better ! [:)]

Sinergy -> RE: better with age (6/25/2004 6:05:51 PM)

Hello,

We are not really disagreeing about the difference between strategy and tactics. I am simply wanting to make sure my point was understood completely. So I will use another example based on World War 2.

The Japanese strategy (overall objective) was to control the entire southeast Pacific.

This was broken up into several tactics.

1) Invade most of the South Pacific Islands while at the same time...

2) Destroy the US Pacific carrier fleet so that the US would have to choose which front to devote its manpower and war machine to fight, and this front would most likely be the one involving it's European allies.

The Japanese lost the war in large part because the US carrier fleet was moved out of Pearl Harbor once the US became aware that the main Japanese carrier fleet was nowhere to be found. Battleships had some usefulness in the Atlantic, but were not useful at all in the Pacific as they were sitting ducks for carriers with dive bombers and torpedo planes.

If you place a Bishop in an advantageous position where it will eventually be useful in a game of Chess, this in and of itself is not strategic in nature.

What is strategic in nature is the overall approach to winning the game which requires the Bishop to be right there when you need it. So the tactic would be the method you use to place your Bishop there in the first place.

Brightest Blessings on your special day, Proud Sub!!!

Re your question, Oh no problems with that here! I have always been busy in my life, and rather athletic. That has paid off for me now as far as being 52 and not looking anywhere near there. lol That, and Nivea. [;)] Add some wisdom, knowledge, and that equals a lot of self confidence spiced up with just the right amount of attitude. Oh baby, we've only just begun!!

Re the hair...Oooo la la, I love it too! Not a lot of it though. I like long hair on a male, although I'm alright with short hair and even bald too. I love thick curly chest hair, but not a lot of thick hair around the genitals. I like that little patch of hair in the small of a male's back. I'm not too crazy about beards, but I love a pretty moustache.

ModeratorThree -> RE: better with age (6/26/2004 10:31:20 AM)

lol... patch of hair in the small of the back. I refer to his as a hobbit patch ;)

Since he stands 6'2 he is not amused with the Hobbit reference. And he keeps some areas shaved, as I am not big on hair there ;)

iwillserveu -> RE: better with age (6/26/2004 5:27:00 PM)

Sinergy,

No, we are not arguing so much as talking across one another. The placing the bishop where it may prove useful at some unspecific time in the future would be analogous to sending modified B-12's aboard carriers for the Dolittle raid before Pearl Harbor. Or if Rommel vacationed in North Africa in 1927 and hid supplies. Or if Stalin started moving his heavy industry over the Urals before Hitler attacked.
