I do understand your reasoning - but, for example - if you are not owned at the time and not following a set instruction, then would it not be just as easy to ask the dominant you are speaking to how they like to be addressed, intead of just judging on something? I often ask how someone likes to be addressed - it takes ten seconds - and shows respect and courtesy to the person your addressing?

I would probably suggest that the OP may be being specific in talking about an unowned slaves approach to Her. My assumption, but I think most dominants understand the difference in someone like yourself and an unowned slave. That said - isn't it up to your Master to first be respectful to any Dominant and find out if it is ok by them to be called'Mistress' etc by someone who isn't theirs? Demon certainly wouldn't to be addressed in such familier terms by someone He didn't know in such a way.

I am totally unsure about your reasoning here? Not all slaves are slaves because they are ignorant. That, IMO , is a bit of an excuse. Being a slave doesn't automatically give anyone the right to behave just how they want or think - and be accepted by that. They have the right to do it - but not to be accepted because of their behaviour. I am not a slave myself, and maybe I am taking a huge assumption here, but to me, thats really condecending of slaves.

It isn't purely a male sub thing - some females are the same. Some can even be used to disassociate themselves and is quite a commen fetish.

I am not meaning to pull apart your thread, just offering another opinion. I can see the OPS view, and I can understand yours - but I think that in all cases, people should be more open to realising what goes for one, isn't always good for someone else. If, for example Demon calls me girl - it's great - get some man I don't know doing it and it feels too familier and without any respect for me or Demons thoughts. It takes 30 seconds to find out an inital thought on a greeting - and then you can work out a lifetime of respect.
