ORIGINAL: InfernoMDM Where in the hell did you read that? I get my info from Stratfor and other NON-party oriented sourses and they all say the ame thing. Al-queda has been pretty had its back broken. Maybe you are useing leftwing simplistic idiotic resourses. Well, I read a lot of things, including leftwing simplistic idiotic resources, but I have to agree with the point made about Al Qaeda having it's back broken. When the United States went into Afghanistan they ended up taking out a Al Qaeda training camp and scored a seriously big prize; computers with listings of names and contact information for Al Qaeda operatives worldwide. Using Interpol and police oriented resources, these people were then rounded up, arrested, neutralized, whatever. Then, the Bush administration (in one of it's only demonstrably competent moves) had the bank accounts associated with these people and other Al Qaeda organizations frozen worldwide. So yes, Al Qaeda is a pale shadow of what it once was, unable to actually come together to perform any meaniningful activities. What broke their back was good ole fashioned police work. Not military action. The reality of the situation does not stop the current administration from telling ghost stories about them over campfire to frighten the campers. Additionally, it does not stop certain sections of our population from salivating in fear every time they hear the same old tired stories. Sinergy
