I've considered it once or twice but in reality just not practical for ME as there are mini me's running around from vanilla marriage and I have yet to figure out how to make that work with this closed minded and dcf involved society we have as Americans. If anyone has a way of making that work with lil ones -let me know too.

I've considered it.... then I thought about the high maintenance issues. I'm not into high maintenance.

It would be nice for about 24 hours, then just the logistics of reality. No, I don't think it would work for me.

The thought is an entertaining fantasy but in reality I am emotionally geared to bond to one person closely. Poly or harems just don't work for me. (And yes, I've tried it in the past.)

Totally, though to be honest I always have at least one woman as well.

At one wonderful period (about 2 months) in my life I owned or was training three people -- two men and one woman. In terms of Ds and Ms and SM I can say that I was truly satisfied and never lacked for a partner or target or sidekick when I desired one. The men stayed the woman's training ended and we stayed just good friends with her discovery that she was probably more a service top than anything else.

So not so much a harem as a bigger kinky family, I guess, where everyone answers to me.

I would love it, but the way you have it in the movies: I won the jackpot, a haram of good-looking guys barely dressed locked away in a garden with shelter, grapes, swimming pool... all eager to serve me...
But it will never happen because of a million reasons.
How about making it a holiday-paradise for us girls somewhere?

Yes, one of my favorite fantasies. Making it work in reality would be quite a different matter. Sounds too high maintenance to me.

I'd love it but am well aware of the intricacies of such a relationship. Jealousy would be a reality so the situation would have to be such that each felt their needs were getting met. Communication, honesty and a willingness to sacrifice could make it work.

The idea appeals to me greatly, and I have had the chance to experience it before. I've owned three boys at the same time before. It was a lot of work, but everyone was satisfied. Then I had to move out of state, and had to let those boys go..I am still friends with two, and the third moved away to someplace else and we lost contact.

I currently have 2 boys that I am training, and seeking a third. I am quite fond of the arrangement, honestly. ;) Again tho..it IS hard work.

I would like a poly family with me at the head.
But at the moment one sub would do nicely.
Especially one who didn't feel he had to be difficult on purpose just to get disciplined.
The minute one does I get really stubborn and make damn sure I don't cane him.
In a battle of wills I might win but we both lose out on what we are together for.
Will they ever learn?

I think it's just so far removed from any role model for women.

Most harems in literature and in reality have been male controlled not only by the husband/owner but also by the men or eunuchs who ran it daily.

What you have seen is that several of us do have and have had poly families but the family is not the same structure as a historical or fantasy harem. The fantasy is nice, I have a fantasy one on my website that hasn't been undated in a while.

The idea of a harem is a bit much for me. I top out at 2, becasue I cant be happy with the amount of time I spend on each if there are more than that. I am very connected to my pets, and for me to be personally satisfied with the interactions, I need time. I was perfectly content with Kitten and Angel together. I still have Angel, Kitten moved on to school. I have occasional playmates, but I dont think that counts as a harem. As far as actual ownership, no. But it is a nice fantasy, certainly, especially when I am either frusterated or horny.

I guess different strokes for different folks. I know Dommes who have real male homes. It is so cool.
It costs a lot of money to keep that many men interested.
My faith would not allow me to do this, nor would my mental health because all of that would cause a lot of stress on a person. Not to mention that jealously would be a huge issue in this.
It is done in real time right in your back door. The key is to locate it.

I run a small business with employees and I've often thought that it would be wonderful to "hire" submissives/slaves for each position. I do the payroll...direct deposit into My account of course. I'll have them build yurts on the 100 acres we could easily afford with a 12 income household (thats the number of employees to replace including bookeeper and accountant). The one that makes Me happiest on any given day can sleep at My feet. Yep Yep. My own personal commune...where's the throne???

I do love the idea even if it isn't practical at all.
