If you were hypothetically forced to move from your current region for any reason, what thing or things would you miss most  from your region once removed? Or what do you miss about your hometown if you have already moved.

I love the vast array of fresh seafood like blue fin crabs, crawfish, oysters, and well all the wonderful fresh seafood here. Yum!

You silly girl!

Knowing you as well as I do, I knew it had to do with the yummy kind but was laughing hard at the title.

What would I miss most....

Good meat..........after traveling this country I have learned how wonderful our local beef and pork really is.

Sweet corn.......... "        "           "       "....... I will never order sweet corn in a restaurant anywhere else.....it tastes like field corn BLECK!!!!!!!

Morels in the spring.......even though I know they do exist other places....I just know where to find them here!

"I got good meat"
"I got Corns"
"A question of morels"   or "Morel superiority!"
I am an fool--what can I say?        hehe

Imagine the emails I just lost with this title.......oh well, cie la vie!

Well, I moved here to Myrtle Beach, S.C. from coastal New Hampshire three years ago tommorow.
I really do miss being able to go down to the docks and get fresh lobster and scallops! Also fresh haddock and crab.
We do have a lot of shrimp and crab here though and other kinds of fish. And you can get seafood fresh off the boat here to though.
And I don't miss the mind-numbing cold winters up there!

This is actually becoming reality very soon, when I relocate from the southern New Jersey shore to Northern Virginia.

Don't like scrapple, won't miss that.  Pork roll, nah, won't miss that.  Thank God they have WaWa's there, so I won't have to miss the best coffee.  Fudge, that's it.  Homemade fudge from the boardwalks.

The WaWa is a great convenient store chain based in WaWa, PA (seriously) and they always have a whole wall full of fresh-brewed coffee (every 20 minutes!), different flavors, a 24 oz. size, lol.   And, they make fresh deli sandwiches and have hot food available most of the time.  They're like 7-11 on really good steroids.

I'll take WaWa over Starbucks anyday!

I agree, when I've been in New Jersey I always go into those places.
And, they have a counter where they must have 50 indivually wrapped pastries and cakes that are really good!
And everything's fresh!

Despite moving Popeye1250, I am relieved to know you still have crabs.

The fresh lobster and scallops must be missed.  No word on the clams--didnt you enjoy those?

Well, I like them fried but just the bellies not the necks.
I was never big on clams, I like Mussells much better!

It's better than 10 years since I left Portland OR, but I still think of that city as home.

I miss:
Powell's Books
Roakes on McLoughlin
Those long summer days
Wild Blackberries
The bite in the evening air when fall came on
Rivers that weren't concrete ditches
Walking in the soft rain
The Gorge
Bagby Hot Springs
Washington/Forest Park
Fetish Night at The Pan (is it even still there?)
and about a zillion other little tiny things

I don't miss:
Gladstone PD
Competing with about 100 displaced loggers for every shitty job
The month of February
The after-effects of eating at Saturday Market (otherwise, I miss that too)

I'll get home one of these years.

When I moved from New Hampshire I missed the mountains and the foliage and the snow.
When I moved from Alabama I missed nothing.
If I ever move from Illinois, I have no idea.

There's a lot I miss still from Ireland- like the 10 pm sunsets and the brillian blending of new and old.

I actually miss some things from NJ- mostly the malls.

I miss some things from Maryland, but really the only thing I find myself aching for is my nephews.
