Status: offline 		That is the question.  My former Mistress had me shave my chest and pubic hair, she felt it a good look for her slave.  I wonder, is it pretty common to require a slave to shave his body hair?  I didn't like the idea at first, but I just did it anyway because she had ordered me to.  But it does make me feel more submissive to shave myself like this, especially since I am embarressed about it.  I have to wear an undershirt at work now, so my coworkers won't be able to see that I've shaved my chest.  And my hairless genitals look really weird.  It's starting to grow back, I wonder if I should let it grow now that my Mistress is gone?  Or maybe I should keep it shaved, in anticipation of a future owner...  Decisions, decisions!

Status: offline 		I prefer a shaved, waxed, or (at the very least) clipped and trimmed submissive. When I see a lot of body hair, I reach for the clippers (on in extreme cases, the weed whacker!)

Status: offline 		I make my sub shave his body hair because I do not like body hair except his mustache. Each Domme has her own individual tastes of course. But for me its the hair free road.

Why not let your next Mistress make that decision for you?  I've known Dommes who preferred to do the shave or wax job themselves, as a ritual of humiliation and power exchange.  Other Dommes liked the power of commanding that I shaved for them.  By staying clean-shaven, you may be denying your next Mistress some excitement and pleasure.

Status: offline 		I always require my slaves and subs in training to shave off certain areas of their body hair. I find it more attractive.

Historically speaking, shaving was a method of demonstrating control over someone. So our current practices may relate to that idea of control.

If you find that shaving helps you focus on your idea of service and submission, I say keep it up but be open and able to do what your next dominant desires.

Status: offline 		Thanks to all who wrote!  I love this message board, look at all the attention I get.  I suppose I will let it grow for now, and then I can always shave again if it is required of me.  I wish this wasn't my decision to make of course... (sigh).  I was getting used to being clean shaved too, and growing fond of this look, but I think it is that I associate it with my submissive side now.  It would not be the same if it is my choice.

Status: offline 		I do not like a shaved chest or even facial or pubic hair. For spontaneous moments it can be a deal breaker if his chest or? feels all prickly like. Some soft stubble can be fun, but when those hairs are like little razors, no thanks. It does depend on the sub in question also.

Whoever your domme is, she'll let you know.

Status: offline 		A shaved pubic area makes someone look like an um, and that squicks me out.  Trimmed, maybe.  Shaved, gross.  Of course, I didn't shave my underarms or my legs for decades, so I'm a bit out of the norm.  I like being a mammal!

Status: offline 		I would never outright demand that someone shave anything for me. However, I can always state my preferences and they can follow suit however they please. It's their body and they have to deal with the discomfort or bumps, so ultimately I think it's their decision. But this probably depends on the domina - I'm not very sadistic. I'd want the choice to be up to them. Of course if they shave something because of my preference, that would really please me.

Status: offline 		For me personally, I find trimmed or overly trimmed men a turn off. Hairless helmets are a major ick factor for me - gross. Heck, I aint even that keen on seeing genital baldness on a woman.

But I embrace my inner hippy lol. Beside the basic grooming, hygiene and self care, I find men who obsessively preen a turn off. I like them rugged and ‘natural’. But that is just me.

I would suggest that you go back to your evolutionary default setting, and wait to see what your future owners preferences are, unless you enjoy the hairless thing yourself.

As the owner of a deep pile rug myself, I don't think I could cope with the stubble!

Status: offline 		My Mistress requires me to be shaven at all times. It was wierd at first to do it, but to please her I did it. Now it is an everyday thing like showering.

Status: offline 		I want hair on my slave's head so I can pull on it.  I'm not concerned with the arms and legs and mine doesn't have a hary chest anyway, but I damn sure better not find any hairs in his pubic region.
 
Taking a few out with tweezers makes sure he shaves to my satisfaction.
