Status: offline 		The rule for me was shaved baby-smooth everywhere except for the hair on my head - no exceptions.  Everyone is different I suppose, but I loved it so much I keep it that way now - and I think it would be hard for me to be with anyone who wanted me to have hair in any of those areas.

Status: offline 		As a sub with enough chest hair to knit a sweater, I can tell you that every Domme I have had has told me to shave my pubes and leave the rest alone.  However, I did have one who gave me an interesting choice: Would I rather have her shave my chest or have to pick the cooled wax out of it later?

Status: offline 		Whether something should be shaved depends on the man.  I love a neatly trimmed on some men, because it makes them look older and more masculine, which is a huge turn-on for me.  But whether the face is shaved close or not, I can say for certain that there are some body parts which at least have to be trimmed close simply for purposes of navigation.  A friend of mine called it "man-scaping", and I am all in favor of proper man-scaping.

Status: offline 		I like hair-my sub has only a little on genitals and chest. His hair is long and he has facial hair as well. I shave it or trim it when I want to (I love babying him by giving him baths and taking care of his hair). But I *like* his body hair!

My thoughts on your body hair status:

You don't have a mistress right now who has a preference to follow and you express liking having it shaved for personal reasons right now... so keep it shaved if that's what pleases you.  When you get a new mistress, she can have you alter things to how she wants them.

My personal taste in male body hair:

For day-in-day out, so long as they aren't a very hairy sort, I like keeping the arm and leg hair, trimming of the armpit and pubic hair, removal of any chest or back hair, and no facial hair unless I think a particular style would suit their face.

For special reasons or occasions I may at times want them to be completely hairless body-wise or even color their pubic or underarm hair just to give myself the giggles.

But no, generally I don't like bald genitals and armpits on a male, sub/slave or vanilla.  Just kept tidy.

To those who have been saying to let your next Owner decide, I must say that that's a silly idea.  Sure, follow what she says when you find her, but what will you do between now and then?  That's up to you and you should choose based on what will make you feel best for the present.  But here's some things to ponder:

Speaking from experience, if you let your shaving go, it's a pain in the ass to pick it back up later.  Letting pubic hair grow back in is NOT a pleasant sensation, and mowing it back down when it's gone wild again is a daunting task sometimes.

Also remember that while you might think your genitals look odd shaved...remember that they look odd ALL THE TIME.  Penis and balls are not inherently pretty things, mmm?  The question is, do you really look at them enough yourself for their looks to matter?

Another thing to consider:  try trimming instead of shaving.  You look neater, feel cleaner, and it's much easier to go back to shaving when you're trimmed nice and close.

The bottom line is to do what makes you happiest until you have an Owner to please.  Practice being a cleanshaven subbie, if you like, or just let it go.  Whichever makes you happier.

Status: offline 		It really depends on the slave for me. I assume you should maintain your style per how your current Domme likes it. In general though, if you are hoping to attract a woman, being neat and well kept is a must. I, personally, don't prefer fully shaven on most men. The stubble is just, ick. I like clean shaven, or well manicured facial hair. I expect men to keep their pubic hair either shaved, or trimmed to be neat. A little manscaping never hurt anyone. I don't have a specific way I like people kept because that can change from individual to individual but neat and clean is always a must.

Status: offline 		It works out that both of us like him shaved.   He has eyebrows.  He is shaved from head to toe.   Makes for a nice, clean, appearance.

My understanding is that subs who keep themselves clean primarily by licking their bodies have bigger problems re attractiveness than hairballs.

Status: offline 		I don't like a lot of body hair and no face hair.   American men just go nuts with their facial hair!   And if they are going bald, either get some Rogaine or something to make it grow back or else shave it competely.

I was already shaving when I became the property of my Owner.  I had already gotten my legs waxed(a lovely experience) and was --slowly-- moving to other areas of my body.  She helped me along greatly.  Did I do this because I thought it was submissive?

No, I did it because I -hate- body hair.  I love being nice and smooth and everything else.  Also, I dry a lot faster.  This is very important.  I hate being wet.  I really, really hate it.  Once she saw that I was already making progress, she was -very- supportive.  Pet grooming and all of that. :--p

Common, I suppose, is a matter of opinion. I have 2 boys.  One is completely clean shaven aside from his eyebrows and the hair on his head. The other has to be prompted to shave the hair on his face, and even then he occasionaly sports a manicured goatee.  I dont require it from either, I just know I will never have to worry about Fox being smooth, and will likely never see Angel that way.
I dislike body hair. It gets too sweaty and it gets in the way of making nice clean bruises on someones skin, not to mention makes those bruises harder to see. I dont like body hair for that reason, and so I prefer my masochist playmates to be smooth. Leg hair is neither here nor there for me.
Genital hair depends greatly on 2 things. Sexual involvement and chastity devices. If I am going to be sexualy involved with someone, I prefer them to be hairless because I prefer the feeling. If I am not, that doesnt concern me. If tey are going to be in chastity, I want them shaven so that hairs dont catch.
If you are extremely unhappy about being shaven, then tell your next prospect that you dont like it. If its just a matter of preference then that can be negotiated and if its a limit state it as such.

Status: offline 		  Its all up to the preference of the Domme. I like a little bit of "fuzzies" however smooth skin can be a turn on. I do not like the thought of my pet shaving areas other than his face...I know hair grows in thicker and its worse than it was to begin with. I would prefer other methods such as waxing, or nair.  Its more comfortable for him to wear his latex catsuit without any pulling or ripping out of hair. Since the catsuit will be torture enough I dont feel as though he should suffer anything else.  I prefer hairless in most areas with maybe a little facial hair and some chest hair.
