Since there seems to be so much confusion about what a sadist is, maybe this will help. I was watching an old Jeff Foxworthy stand-up routine the other day. It has inspired me to help everyone clear this up.

If your ideal first date starts with "Barney on Ice" and ends in an ambulance ride, you might be a sadist.

If you play Barry Manilow CDs for mood music, you might be a sadist.

If your bedroom resembles a Troma movie set, you might be a sadist.

If watching the torture scene in "The Last Temptation of Christ" turns you on, you might be a sadist.

If your first aid kit fills an entire closet, you might be a sadist.

If the jumper cables for your car have nipple clamps on one end, you might be a sadist.

If you hang out in the emergency room for romantic inspiration, you might be a sadist.

If you enjoy reading tax codes to your lover in bed, you might be a sadist.

If your favorite sex toy is a Garden Weasel, you might be a sadist.

If your lover tries to jump out of your moving car at 35mph every time you drive past Home Depot, you might be a sadist.

I define myself as a sadist for numerous reasons. One, I LOVE having someone cry because of what I have done/am doing to them. Tears are a huge turnon for me. Two, I can get to the point of orgasm by inflicting pain on someone.
I've seen a post or two here that rather scratched a nerve. Let's get one thing straight, I do NOT abuse anyone. A person who does something to someone against there will is an ABUSER not a sadist. I'd never go out, grab some woman or man off the street, take them home, bind them up and beat the forever more hell out of them. Now if you come to me and want that, well now that's a whole nother story.
Pain is a way to cleanse the mind and body in my opinion. As a sado/masochist I can tell you how it is for me. My husband is a sadist as well and to be frank with you, there's not an abusive bone in his body.
I'm a sadist because I thrive on the pain of others, it gives me a sexual, mental and physical high that "regular" D/s can't.
