Has any sub/slave had to make their Master/Mistress go to the hospital? My master had chest pains the other day, and he kept getting worse. He told me that he was fine. I lost my biological and adopted father to heart attacks. I know the signs, he was having a heart attack. It was a couple of hours before I finally got hm to let me take him to the hospital. The next day he told me he was still mad at me for making him go to the hospital. This happened on Thursday, and he wont get out til at least Monday, at the earliest. I know what I did was right, in my own opinion. Master doesnt think I should have made him go. What is everyones take on situations like this? Does the sub/slave have the right to force the issue, or not?

I personally wouldn't be with a man that was THAT stupid and had that little reguard for his own health...If he won't take care of himself...how can you expect him to take care of you...and are you seriously saying that even after he KNEW it was a heart attack he is STILL pissed at you????are you fuckin kidding me????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!

i assume cause he stayed he had a heart attack. You did the right thing. i think he's being immature, i mean really, how could you have "forced" him, you convinced him but he allowed himself to be convinced. In the end it was his decision. Maybe his anger is really fear, it's a bit irrational for him to see you as "making him go" unless you picked him up and threw him over your shoulder kicking and screaming.

You should have called an ambulance. Honestly, you wouldn't jump off the Golden Gate Bridge if ordered to, so why would you stand by calmly and watch him die? His control over you would have ended that day with his death, so tell him even if he releases you it's the same for you. Except that this way you don't carry the guilt of standing by and watching him die. And make his follow up visits to the cardiologist for him also. Some orders are just not sensible enough to be obeyed.

Yes it was a heart attack, and if i could have, I would have picked him up and thrown him over my shoulder.

Where we live an ambulance wasnt feasible, would have taken them longer to get there and get him to the hospital then it would have for me to just take him myself. We live out in the sticks here, and the squads are staffed by volunteers only. The volunteers have to come from where ever they happen to be to the squad house, then to the victims house.

As velvetears stated, I believe his anger is fear. I'm sure he knew it was a heart attack also. He said the same thing both my fathers said, that it might be indigestion. I think that he was afraid that he would die and leave me all alone. What started it was that he has pneumonia, which we didnt realize. We'd both had colds, and we were getting better, or so we thought. His turned into pneumonia. His lungs got so full, that they started squeezing his heart, this precipitated the heart attack..Before you say he should have known he was getting worse instead of better, this happened to me in 2001. I had a bad cold, it got better, or so I thought. Then one night I lay down in bed and couldnt breath. Fluid was coming out of my mouth and nose. They actually lost me in the ER. I was in a coma for a week. I wasnt with Master then, my daughter called the squad for me.

Way to go! Sometimes ya just gotta Top from the bottom when it's in their own best interest. In this case, you were right to force the issue. And don't let him get you down, you did the right thing. It does sound like the classic case of denial and anger at the ones closest. But even angry....you still got him! You may not have otherwise.

As with anyone you care about, there are times when you have to do what you know is right. If they get pissed at you for it and never speak to you again, you still know you did the right thing for them.

If he is dead he isn't going to master anyone. Chest pains are very serious and nothing to be scoffed at, particularly if they last. You did the right thing and I would reexam the relationship if I were you. If he cares so little about himself how can he possibly take care of you? ~Lashra

i forced my ex to go to the dr-threatened to call him mom-lol..... 2 days later, he was having double by-pass surgery-and the dr said bitchy women save many mens lives..... id do it again, even in a D/s dynamic

My birthdad was the same way and he ended up dying in his apartment where no one found him for a couple hours later. So i don't see why he was angry with you. i would have been happy that someone knew the symptoms and knew what to do, etc. You were totally right in what you did.

~fast reply~ My take is to ask yourself whether you are happier with him alive, even if he's not in your life anymore because you got him to the hospital, or dead? Either way you're without him but he's living if you take him. If I'd rather the person be alive, then they're going to the hospital come hell or high water. I'll accept being pushed out of their life as long as they still have a life to push me out of. Just my thoughts........

consider what could have happened if you hadn't done what you did...ask him to do the same. and I agree with what others have said, why is he angry with you when what you did is what any normal, responsible adult would have done?

He's not mad because you "made" him go to the hospital. He's mad because you were right and he was wrong and he was a dumbass for not seeing it.

If I had to guess, I'd say that your Master is probably just trying to deal with feeling vulnerable. Being reminded of your own mortality is never a fun thing. He'll get over it once the initial shock passes. I do the same thing when it comes to my hospital visits. Guh.

He'll get over it...actually I hear a lot of stories like this from my mom. She works in a cardiac cath lab and it's a matter of being afraid, being mortal, and being wrong. Plus, there are a lot of people who fear hospitals more than they fear dying. There's not too many comfortable things going on in hospitals. There are also answers in hospitals. Some people would rather not know. My dad was like that...he inhaled some mixture that he made go "boom" in the garage and had acid burns all over his chest and arms. My mom and I nearly had to drag him to the hospital...even the odor coming off of him in the car made us short of breath. He had chemical burns in his lungs! He also never quit arguing that he should have been at home on the couch...resting, he said. He said, "If I let you take me to the hospital everytime you think I need to go, we'll wear out 3 cars." But, he went... Your Master will get over it, or he won't...but it's you who has to look yourself in the mirror and lay your head on your pillow at night.
