**sends healing thoughts and wishes your way** The chicken soup and hot toddy sound good. *smiles* Drink at least 8 oz of (non caffeine, non alcohol) fluid every hour that you are awake. Warm fluids like soup or hot tea will thin the mucus that tickles the back of your throat and help dampen the cough. Putting several drops of warm saline water (1/4 tsp of salt in 8 oz of water, then letting some dribble down each nostril) really DOES help clear your nose. All the doctors recommend it. I hate doing it, because it tastes icky when it drains down the back of your throat, but since it does help, I do it anyway. Those BreatheRight nose strips help me ALOT when my nose is stuffy. I hate trying to sleep with a stuffy nose. Decongestant nasal sprays, like Afrin, will immediately open your nose for hours, but only use if you absolutely can't sleep, because after several uses, you get a "rebound" effect..ie, the WORST stuffy nose of your life, until the rebound wears off. I hope you get to feeling much better, very quickly.
