lmao my neighbors seem to forget what i do for a living and continually call the local pd about me carrying weapons in and out of my house....granted they are in theyre 80's but its been years now for gods sake.

I live in the arm pit of the world. So, i really dont have neighbors.. Which means..I can be as loud as I wanna. You may be jealous now.

some of my neighbors probably think i'm some high class prostitute because i'm forever shopping and always dressed casual to dress casual for the shows i review ...plus i work odd hours of the night and keep to myself i do know for a fact that my upstairs neighbors think i'm too high yella (too white for her own race) since i don't hang outside, smoke ciggies, talk improperly and listen to that gawd-awful rap/hiphop. however, i did give them a taste of "white folks" music (rock, metal, powerpop, techno, etc) yesterday ...they will be getting more of it tonight when the Loop 97.9 thinks Pink (Floyd) - a full hour of Pink Floyd. <weg>

my neihbors and i are like the ones in the old tv shows lol... we do dinner, coffee ect. lol...and when we get new neihbors we even hold a community potluck lol....

A couple of our neighbors shared a drink in the jacuzzi with us last night. So, yeah I guess you could say we socialize with them.

Oddly enough, despite the numerous places I've lived, I've only ever gotten to know two of my neighbours [by knowing them I mean I've actually said "hi" or had "hello" said to me...I've only seen about half of my neighbours over the years, most of them wouldn't make eye contact]. One became a short-lived friend; his lady friend didn't like me because he would leave their apartment to visit me. Come to think of it, I don't really know anyone who's "normal"...

Most of the folks have lived here for over 20 years. The neighbors immediately to our right are Yankees, brandnew immigrants to the South. So, we took them under our wing, and taught them a few survival skills for living in Florida. They moved in right before Hurricane Ivan smashed us, heaven help them. Also, we do occasional small favors back and forth. It is mostly just waving hello in passing, but we are here if they need us, and vice versa.

It's kind of a mixture. I've never spoken with most of them. One mistakenly had the police come over to our house--our other neighbors' dogs bark non-stop, and he thought they were my dogs and called the police. This sounds horrible, but I think he may have since died. He used to shout out his window, but one night an ambulance came, and I haven't heard or seen any sign of him since. There are two elderly women who are lovely. We chat over the fence. One of them had us over for cookies. She also wrote a letter of recommendation for us when we needed one from a neighbor. Then, there's another neighbor, also elderly, who always asks about my father's health...unfortunately, she's never met my father, and she's referring to my husband. That makes for some awkward conversation!

For the first eight yeas, I lived in my apartment building, I knew almost no one. I'd chat sporadically with the guy across the hall, and that was about it. Then I became involved with the tenants association and have gotten to know several folks.

The older lady who lives next door has demesia (sp?) and her husband died several years ago, they had no children so she has no real family to speak of. Really she shouldnt be living alone anymore she frequently comes over wanting to know if I have seen her "folks" and will get confused and try to wander the streets. I will drive along and pick her up before she gets far as I dont want anything to happy to her. I try to make sure I at least see her out and about every day. On the other side of me is a couple they are usually quiet but have been known to have super loud partys all night which result in the police being called.

My next door neighbors are wonderful (atleast the ones to the left of me lol)...they have known me for the past 8 years ( kinda feel sorry for them now eh? lol)...they are good people, keep a nice clean yard...we chat alot and even sometimes hang out at a local diner[:)]

I only see my neighbors when we are heading towards each other on the road fighting to see who has to give up the middle...their SUV's win...but not always.

One of them I talk to quite frequently. She would like to be chummier with me, but I don't want to encourage her coming over to my house unexpectedly, as there is no telling what she'd find here. She is nice, but very nosy and quite the gossip. [;)] The one on the other side lives in another state six months out of the year. He is so hard of hearing it is impossible to have a conversation with him, so I can't even talk to him the six months out of the year he is here. Mainly, we just wave. Lady Topaz

I have 2 sets... One of them are pretty cool...the wife a lil too chatty but sweet. The other set are white trash.. and as I type this I'm praying they move..
