You've got a lot going for you especially if you change the suggested items (chatspeak and the colors in your profile).
Personally I love the pic of you in the tux! You're good looking, you do have a sense of humor.
Best of all you've taken the critism here really well, no attitude except cheerfulness and its great.

A lot will dismiss you. Sorry but that is the truth of it, and you can't change your age. That will go away in time, so until then use it. Use this time to learn. There is no need to find a lifetime partner right now. I suggest sticking with your age group because most women do like someone older.
Joining a group near you is a fantastic idea and it will give you real world experience instead of fine tuning yourself online.
Most of all have fun and be yourself.

I agree with LA, use the chatrooms and check out some of the profiles for potential matches. Those who interest you or seem to maybe interest you then talk to them.

i have seen it as people who are older are not wanting a younger Dom, i'm the same way. But just keep looking and gain more experience by going to munches, clubs, etc and get out into the community and learn more. You will find your sub/slave when the time is right.

1) Men outnumber women in this life 10:1. This means that it's not easy to find a partner if you're male.

2) At 18, I personally think you should be finding yourself a Dominant mentor. Regardless of your past associations, you haven't been out in the community and a guide is well advised.

age doesnt matter but experince and what is behind it most subs/slaves want some one that is for them eg compatiable.....for me experience is a must allow with a gentle yet firm hand all i can tell You is keep looking i am sure You will find Your one

ChiaPet thats some of the best words I have every heard a plant speak! you should offer seminars to your kindered friends :-)

Country89 - I will agree with the advice listed here especially when it comes to the chat speak abbreviations. Look at it this way, you say you are mature for your age and do not like those who are immature - then think about that when you are writing in your journal and profile - write to the audience that you are trying to attract. try not to be sound so wishy washy; you can be confident in yourself and what you seek without being overbearing or obnoxious.

Also organize your thoughts, your profile is a little scattered with its point and due to no paragraph spacing it has this run-on sentenace feel to it. To correc that try reading your profile out loud to yourself, even if its a whisper. Significant pauases should probably be a new pargraph. I am sure someone on here can offer you the proper tips for that.

Most importantly.......above all else.....have fun, be yourself, explore learn, be patient, be honest, sincere and treat all others with respect! if this last paragraph in mind above all else, you too might have a plant who talks to you one day! that is possible isn't it ChiaPet?

Just to echo what camille said, your attitude in this whole thread while being ribbed by others speaks volumes about your character.

I don't think you'll have any troubles at all -- you're old enough now that you should be able to join local groups and find mentors, and don't believe for a second that there are ten dominant men for every submissive woman (sure, maybe ten horny net geeks for every woman on the web site). If anything, the ratio is the opposite, but many women who are submissive are out there in the vanilla world and won't be found here or at munches, so you need to get out and do normal dating stuff in your search, and learn how to identify and draw out the submissive ones :)

You're young, just accept that some will hold it against you. Don't worry too much about them, there's nothing you can do to change their mind other than be yourself, improve, and grow. I started at 19 in the community and dealt with a lot of the same stuff, it can be frustrating at times but there are also LOTS of women who will be far more interested in learning/exploring with you due to you being the same age as they are. Don't focus on the bad parts of your age, focus on the advantages it gives you.

Beginner Subs have it easy. There are tons of guys that want to be trainers. Where does a beginner Dom go to learn the tricks of the trade and ease into the lifestyle?

Country89, I'd suggest you also post more in the forums. The off topic and silly threads where you can show off your funny side and humour would be a great place for you to start showing yoruself off. The men who get the most attention here always seem to be the men who have very well thought out posts and are well rounded in where they post, meaning, off topic, ask a Master and so on.

I think you handled this thread wonderfully, I've seen lesser men and women throw huge fits when they ask advise about their profiles and such.

Someone above me gave you great advise as well, he suggested you just get out there and date. I had no clue I was submissive untill my Husband found me and showed me a few things. Get out, put youself out there and ejoy life and dating, the BDSM stuff will just flow into the rest of it.
