What other couples "should do" is a really tough call. I can tell You, Merc, that Master also withheld a few fantasies and similar stuff. He confessed it all, a little at a time, as we explored together, and as i learned more about certain topics. He was always hesitant about telling me something new, and He always got the same response. "Silly Master... i love You... no matter what." Is it right to withhold info like this? Probably not in most cases... you're running the risk of hurting yourself and the other person involved. However, there is the matter of "the right moment". Master was waiting until He believed i was ready to hear each different fantasy in the hopes of not overloading me. I have no issue with this personally - others might.
As for the gloves, i know Master would punish me if i was told to wear them and didn't. (lol sorry beth)

Full disclosure at outset? Only of the important things like serious illnesses/handicaps, marriage/partner involved, general stats, and anything else asked.
I don't think it necessary to tell someone EVERYTHING about one at first sight/meeting. On the other hand, I tend to like people who are open and don't cut flow of conversation because they are excessively tight lipped/private.
I think whatever subject comes up, should be discussed honestly/with full disclosure. M

i think it necessary to make a distinction between the getting to know each other, initial meeting, and actual relationship stages. i have full disclosure and absolute honesty with my Master. i was extremely new to the lifestyle when i first started talking with Him, and had no experience in the lifestyle. There are things that when W/we first started talking i adimentally (sp?) denied that i would ever want/enjoy doing some of the things W/we talked about. Also, many things that i've experienced and enjoyed i wouldn't have admitted/guessed to liking. He is a sadist, and if there had been full disclosure as to fantasies in the VERY beginning, i would have been scared away simply because i had no context to understand those things. In my current state of being proudly owned, i'm so glad He took the approach that He did. my experiences have been an amazing path of self discovery.
